What the fukk should I do with my life besides working OT

Been working 12 hour days since the middle of June, and that includes an unpaid lunch. Every day, I leave for work at 8AM and come back at 10PM. There's just a bunch of chit to do.

On Thursday, I went out to play with my kickball team for their first game of the season (not well) (sciatica crew) (forced to play catcher nohomo). They went to a bar afterwards. 6 married couples, 2 other single dudes, and me. All the wives just sit there talking with each other while I am 15th wheeling, just staring at my whiskey sour, and thinking that I should be back in at work putting in more OT.

You ever see the ending of the Hurt Locker, where Jeremy Renner just stands around in a grocery store, realizes that he just no longer fits in with civilian life, and signs up for another tour of duty in Iraq? It felt like that.

So yesterday, I had the day off, but went into the office anyway and put in 8 more hours of OT. Today, I'm sitting around and miscing, cleaned the apartment a bit… but now I'm thinking I should go in and work more OT.

I know putting in unpaid OT on a salary job is cuck behavior. It doesn't get you promoted, it doesn't get you a raise, it just makes Mr. Shekelstein richer. I'm a 10 year miscer, I know all that.

But the question I keep running into, is what the fukk else do I do with my life if I'm not working OT? I've got no phuckin friends (if I dropped out of kickball league, none of the players would speak to me again). Sloots don't phuckin want me, and I can't start a family with them anyway (retarded babies crew).

Working OT is cuck behavior, but what should I be doing that's like non cuck behavior. I just don't see anything more productive.

I mean.. i just think you dont want it enough. Or maybe youve just never gotten anything in life. But what do you do when you really want something badly?

I mean even in your scenario.. go into the wives. Guarantee they prob start talking about their gf's dating life in there.. then you just say "id be interested"

Or something. Just anything. I know people who did that then get with old ladies that buy them things

I remember when you lost your last job, and I was happy to hear you got this one so quickly. After reading this though it sounds horrible.

How much overtime is expected of you? Can you work a standard 40 hour week if you wanted to?

Take the $$ you make with all that OT and buy some big boy toys. Playing with your new toys will make you feel better for a while.

Should build a business focused on convincing people to work unpaid OT, that sounds very lucrative

Who tf works for free like this? OT should be double normal time, even if 1 minute I want 1 hour at double, maybe even triple if I'm pissed off. You work for free? You are the ultimate cuck, you probably rent too.

If you actually want an honest answer, instead of just a chance to vent: you should be developing intellectual property.

If you are going to spend time doing unpaid work, in your field, do it developing something that might improve your situation, instead of doing something that won't.

Ended up getting drunk Satuday, going to the pool, and playing Call of Duty. Yesterday, I got drunk, went to the pool, and watched Troy. Now that Monday's here, I can't help but feel like OT simping would have been a better use of my time, or at least a push.

The boss told me "we need to offload some of your work tasks to get them done on time, but we don't have anyone to offload it to , so…."

OT isn't really optional right now, but I'm used to it by now. It's kind of a comfort zone.

My only real hobby is golfing, and that is a 0 sloot zone.

These wives legit have no friends besides each other… meeting other people is why they all joined a kickball league. One of them got married recently, and 3 of her bridesmaids were kickball girls. She didn't know any of them before 2022.

2 of these women have refused to set me up without me even saying anything. If I was there to get laid, I would have left a couple years ago. I stick around because they're the only form of social life outside of work that I have.

Also you gotta find a new kickball team. Just sign up and be a free agent and get assigned a new team. Keep trying this until you have a team that's worth connecting with socially.

My kickball team is run by a female grad student at a university near me. The team frequently goes out to the college bars together. Even though I have no interest in the females on the team, it's opened up meeting other people by going out with them.

That's how this works

So clueless he doesn't even know what to do with his time . For starters , he could get a hobby that actually requires being active ie going to the gym , cycling , etc

Wait, this is UNPAID overtime? That's insane. I mean, I work 7/12s when I'm in the field, but I get a daily bonus that basically doubles my salary. Unless you're getting a huge salary relative to what you could make elsewhere, you need to be using your spare time to look for another job. They're taking advantage of you. Now that you've essentially normalized it, the frog boiling is complete. Unpaid salaried overtime at "crunch time" at the very end of a project is normal. What you're doing is not. I don't think you could possibly steal enough office supplies to make up for it.

If you're working overtime for someone else for free, why not start your own business and work overtime for yourself?

Can you imagine being this pathetic ? Showing up to the office on a day off just because you have nothing better to do or no better interests / hobbies.. Couldn't be me

And by the way OP your co workers hate you , because it's bs what you're doing only promoting employers taking advantaging of employees…going above and beyond to cope with a sad personal life .

Buy a motorcycle and travel the country. It's also VERY easy to make friends with other motorcyclists. Just avoid the douchebags and large group rides. I've never seen a motorcyclist that was unhappy.

People say motorcycles are dangerous, sure, but on road trips you are very least likely to get into accident. Most happen within the city

I would have been nicer about it, but…. yeah, this? iirc op you posted pics before and you don't hit the gym. If you're having sciatica problems that's one thing you could work on but definitely hit the gym however you can.

Overall it sounds like you feel you have no purpose in life. You have to find that for yourself and the best way is to NOT be at work if you don't need to be. Going in on your day off because you have nothing better to do? That's pretty fcking inexcusable.

It takes time, patience, and dedicated effort to find your place in life. Start off my unplugging and staying away from things you don't want to do, or stay away as much as possible
