Reduce the turnovers in this game and Panthers win. Our defense held Tampa Bay pretty well considering the circumstances. giving up only 1 TD and that was in the 1st quarter.

i'm loling at how everyone is saying they were impressed with the bucs. they barely won and we played horrible on both sides of the ball all game. plus we had way too many penalties.

The blocked punt was terrible and killed us, though.

Sorry I haven't been posting much here brahs. In summer I'm in full work mode and get like 40-50 hours a week so I haven't had as much time to follow the Panthers offseason as I'd like.. and I just picked up a morning job to go with my night job so now it's like 65'ish hours/week lol.
I'll have a full write-up on my thoughts on everything that happened yesterday in a bit. I think we're better than we played, but our upcoming schedule is tough and even if we start playing good football, we're playing some DAMN good teams and I would HATE to start 0-4. vs. Saints, vs. Giants, @ Falcons…. ugh. Let's hope the Saints are continue to struggle but if we let ****ty ass Josh Freeman beat us god knows what Brees will do.

panthers brahs, I know we have murphy as our 3rd receiver now but what happened to gettis? I know he was injured last season, but I thought he was coming back? did we release him or something? looked promising last year.

I love seeing a Panthers win against the Taints! Big win and now it's time to prep for the Girly-men coming to BoA on Thursday night
Brandon Hogan was put on IR at the beginning of the season as well

That feel when everything you worried about in the offseason, all the weaknesses you saw and thought could bring the team down, comes true. Dammit.
Still too early to act like the season is lost, but whatthe****man.jpg. Where do I begin…
1) I'm fine with the coaching. Watching the game last night, the plays that were called looked good. It seemed like, outside of a few plays, Panthers defenders were in position to make a play and they just missed. Beason's missed tackle in the first quarter was HUGE momentum wise. There were SEVERAL times we had the play stopped and they just got beat in the open field. You can blame coaching all you want but when it comes down to it, they aren't on the field. Just sloppy all around.
2) Kuechly needs to be moved inside, ASAP. Beason is clearly not 100%, I've seen him miss easy plays and get turned around multiple times already this season. I think it's just a little rust that will be cleared by the end of the year, but there is still time to save the season. Kuechly has been fantastic thus far and I think Beason would be less of a liability playing weakside. Anderson continues to be underrated, though. I think by the end of the season there will be no real weaknesses in our LB group, but for now it's questionable at best.
3) Secondary is GARBAGE. Josh Norman could be a good #2 in time, but that time is not now. Got picked on by Eli and I could see that happening every game now. Safeties aren't good enough to give him some help, either. The only guy I can rely on in the secondary is Gamble, and he just can't do it all himself. However, a lot of the secondaries problems were caused by the d-line, which I'll go over below.
4) Defensive line, like the secondary, is GARBAGE. I don't think Eli even hit the ground until the 4th quarter when the game was pretty much done. I know sacks aren't the end all way to evaluate a d-line, so it's not just that. They didn't even make him sweat! He had all day to pass, which made the secondaries job much more difficult. Even when we brought extra pressure, they picked it up with ease. Charles Johnson really needs to start playing up to that crazy contract we gave him, which by the game is looking more and more like a disaster.
5) Offensive line, outside of Kalil and Gross, needs to pls go. I can't blame our offensive woes in 2/3 games on Cam when he's got guys in his face a second after the ball is snapped. Against the Giants you should expect it as their d-line as far as I know was completely healthy, but the performance against the Bucs was equally bad.
6) I've only got one complaint about the passing/running game, but I'll address that in my next paragraph. When/if the o-line gets it together, we'll get back to being a dangerous offensive team. Smitty/LaFell/Olsen are all fine, no problems with our RB's either(and Stew being inactive hurt a lot this week, he's VERY important to this offense). Giants can be deadly and shut down ANY team if the d-line is on their game, and my god they were.
7) My complaint is about Cam. I am getting really, really tired of his demeanor when things aren't going well. I think the towel on his head on the sideline thing is overblown, but you can't deny his attitude changes if he's struggling. He looks like a pouty little bitch on the sideline at times. Last year I let it slide because he was a rookie, but he's not anymore. Smitty reportedly yelled at Cam last night for his demeanor. Smitty is obviously a hot head at times, but he's right. Cam needs to grow the **** up, and fast. I admire Eli because no matter how bad things might be going for him, the guy always erases his memory the very next drive. Cam needs to learn from that.
Cowherd apparently trashed Cam pretty badly today. Addressed the pouting thing, doing the superman while down 23-0, etc. Agree with him 1000%. It's not just him out there, and he needs to realize that. Still think he can be one of the best QB's in the NFL, but that'll never happen if he doesn't get his head straight. He also trashed our play calling. While I get tired of seeing gimmick plays all the time, no one was complaining last week when some of our biggest plays were off those types. It's just part of our offense. We can't use those plays vs. a d-line like the Giants though. They aren't gonna get fooled.
Next week we play the Falcons. Wonderful.
