Computer down for the last couple of days. That being said, Panthers are in trouble. Our D line cannot stop the run at all, weve been torched all preseason. Also Charlie Batch lighting up our STARTING Dbs is also bad. Cam showed some upside, made some good accurate throws and finally scored. Its gonna be a long season boys.

too small to play 4-3 DE and his only pass rush move is a spin and he is horrible at it

idk some people think he can succeed as a 3-4 outside rusher.

wow the right side of our o-line is massive with Otah and Max. I just hope Otah can stay healthy. The o-line goes from potential top 5 to definitely bottom 5 with him out of the lineup.

would never say no to a legit pass rusher but IMO they will go CB, WR, or DT over DE. I guess it depends where they pick.

would love to have Coples here though.

not so sure they will get a WR next year. still have Gettis on IR who would have been #2 this year along with Lafell, Edwards, and Pilares who are all young. They also claimed Ajirotutu off waivers today from San Diego who is a second year player and showed a lot of promise last year and could step up this year. They also have Nanee who could step up as well

they will definitely go for DT, CB, and maybe OG next year. may draft another QB to back up Cam. they need to trade Clausen to a team that is better suited to his skills

Panthers depth chart has Shockey listed as the starting TE and Olsen as the number two???? I do like Shockey but is there something I'm missing here?

If we ran a 3/4, Coples would be the perfect fit for us.

yeah, that confuses me. i'm sure they will get 50/50 split in PT, but i think Olsen is the best option long-term

Rivera has already said they're running 4-3. I think they would have kept E Brown at least 1 more year were they going 3-4

saw a post on carolina huddle with a tweet from steve reed that said the last time the starting O-Line was Gross-Wharton-Kalil-Hangartner-Otah the Panthers ran for 154 against NY and then 234 against NO in the last two games of 2008

sounds good to me

Not sure who would start between him and Max though. I think both are capable starters.

A good(great) problem to have! I think they signed both as not only an insurance policy for the RG position but also for tackle. Can't Wharton play RT? If Otah goes down we can slide Wharton to RT, and put Max or Hangman in at LG.

Either way the o-line will make or break Cam's season. If we can go back to 2008/2009 double trouble, we could very well be a competitive team this year.

As it stands now I'm predicting 5 wins.

Depth Chart has MJG backing up Wharton with Hangartner backing up Kalil and Bernadeau, although i'm sure Hangman will start at RG

i like this pick up. he is young, lots of potential, and he is cheap!

not to mention he has speed. atleast on madden he does haha. so i can finally take captain back to the nickle lol.

I wish we had kept peppers and converted to 3-4 with Rivera. Our defense would be insane with our backers. I see them drafting a DT in the first round next year, hopefully we can get someone like Suh.

I don't follow college football as much as others so I don't know if there are any Suh caliber players. Doubtful though, Suh is a once in a generation type talent.

Peppers wasn't re-signing. It wasn't possible to keep him.

plus outside of Dan Connor I don't think any of our LB's would fit the 3-4 as well as they do the 4-3.

4-3 can be successful, we just have zero interior linemen to really take advantage of it.

There's nothing better about the 3-4. The personnel make all the difference.

But yes our problem is a bad D-line and secondary. Can't do **** about that.

Rivera expects Beason to start this week! Hopefully him being gone was the reason our defense has been ****ing embarrassing this preseason.
