There are so many things that cause health problems that are still legal and there are many that are not. Sometimes it makes you scratch your head and wonder why?
I never try anything I just do it!

Including hormones put in our food that cause cancer. Ban those too and make everyone shop at Whole Foods.

People are always going to get a hold of drugs, keeping it illegal only redistributes the money to the black market and generates more crime.

You're arguing small-mindedness on the definition of a 'drug' while intertwining literal translations of what a 'danger' is. Looking past the immediate danger you're arguing--like instant death (and youcandie 'messing around' with alcohol)--you're missing some key points to my argument.

For example, there is not one drug that can rival the amount of damage to so many different areas of the body that alcohol can, period.

Research the effects of prolonged alcohol use on the body--make note of every system and organ it touches. You'll want to argue, 'not immediate, for chronic abusers only'.... but research has shown these same effects on moderate-to-heavy users of alcohol as well.

Outside of benzodiazepines, no other drug can cause chemical dependency in such a manner that it cankillyou from withdrawal. Not *******, not heroin, not MDMA only alcohol and Benzos.

The physical tolls alone make it dangerous, but when you add in the potential for life-ending-changing-ruining of yourself and innocent people around you, it's even more so. What makes itthemost dangerous, however, is that despite all of this, it's legal to consume.

The definition of a drug is binary, arguing 'danger' isn't.

I am all for it staying legal but I believe many illegal drugs should be legalized. You can literally die from alcohol withdrawal. As you get older you see how many alcoholics there are out there as well(functioning and not). It blows your mind.

It is so ingrained in our culture as well. If you tell someone you aren't drinking they will pester you with questions. If I told someone I quit smoking they would just say "good job"

yeah I am in the process of building a new social circle with sober people or at least those who do not only go out and drink every weekend. It makes it a lot harder but can't be around people who expect me to drink all the time.

Not true. Lsd allows the user's brain to make connections with other parts of the brain that normally don't happen unless you're taking lsd. People are more creative and introspective. They have done MRI scans of "users" brains while on it and found some very interesting stuff.

Anyways lsd , dmt, weed, and mushrooms are all non-addictive.

Lsd is literally the safes drug out there. The LD50 of lsd hasn't even been found for humans yet and you can't smoke enough joints to OD on thc.

Alcohol on the other hand destroys people's lives and I haven't seen a single good thing come from people drinking alcohol. When's the last time you heard of a mind blowing invention being created when someone was drunk? I'd probably guess never.

The only thing that destroys people's lives on "hippie drugs" is that the cops will lock you up.....Ya know, so you won't destroy your life lol

Instead of wondering why it's not banned, learn to control yourself.

It's unnecessary to take alcohol away from people who enjoy it just because there are some brads in the world.

Yea like your brain on lsd is that of an infants. You know, that stage where you know jack chit.

Sounds like the antithesis of knowledge and "expanding your mind"

How people just go fuking with the electrical connections in their brain and then think theyre some savant is beyond me. Annoying too

I moved to another place when I realized how toxic it was being around him. Ran into him a few times for a few months, could see he was doing the same stuff.

Then for a year I didn't run into him at all, and all of a sudden saw him on campus again (25k students). He looked like something was gnawing on him.

The first thing that popped into my head when I saw his eyes was "holy chit, this guy is HAUNTED." To my perception, it seemed like he'd carelessly opened the wrong doors on his psyche too many times, to the point that the doors didn't really close any more, and now all sorts of supernatural negative chit could get into his head and emotional space at will.

I believe we normally have various mental and emotional filters/doors/boundaries that keep us from being too affected by negative chit going on around us. Spend too much time in the wrong place, or be too careless around the wrong sorts of people and it can bring us down.
Damn that's so true. A lot of people believe psychedelics are to be used just a handful of times. Get what you need out of them (answers or whatever) then stop.

Like a poster above already said -its almost like it removes the filters of your mind. Sometimes people can't see the forest through the trees .Gotta have those barriers removed.
The positive changes from taking mushrooms (especially for depression) have been shown to be long-lasting.

I just did a paper on this so Its fresh in my mind but in one study published in the lancet psychiatry journal ALL of the participants severe depression was gone for at least 2 weeks after taking a moderate dose of psilocybin and still some at 3 months...

Now tell me what antidepressant can do that? None.

There is always a political reason why stuff is illegal. Most drugs are illegal solely bc of political reasons...not safety issues.

Yea i just dont get it.

No idea how ifantilizing people is "positive"

As far as in concerned when people age theyre journeying through life getting as far away as they can from that infantile stage where infants are putting their hands on stoves to realize theyre hot. Life is the opposite, vying for individiation with the ability to synthesize and deduce information down to a level they can interpet themselves and then turn around and convey it through whatever medium they wish.

Why would knowledge - the opposite of what youre promoting - and using the standard definition of knowing the way things work - not diffuse just as much stress? As far im concerned, most people get anxious when they DONT understand whats going on

What the fuk happens when they have jobs and theyve reset their brain back to a child's?

I guess if people really want to kill themselves and feel like theyre "reborn" but i think there are solutions that dont tske you back a few years

Knowing the brain has plasticity is enough to overcome most problems, though a lot of people will want to take the easy way out
