Sure, maybe as lunch meat, but that's about it.
If turkey was so awesome, people would be eating it all year.

I don't really like it either, glad to see miscers agreeing.
Back when I was a kid I used to get pissed off hearing so many other brats talking about how excited they were to eat turkey, chit wasn't even good. I always thought people were socially pressured into pretending it was the best **** to eat ever

When you cook the turkey PERFECTLY, it tastes... fine. Pretty tasty with Gravy on top and Mashed on the side, but I've never had a piece of Turkey that can compare to the HBB of Holiday meats, Ham.
I know this is a minority opinion, but most turkey tastes bland and I think a lot of people eat it for the nostalgia/tradition rather than the taste. If it's so good, why do you guys only eat it one/two days a year?

Fried or smoked turkeys are great. I inject Tony's injectible "butter" and smoke mine. They come out pretty good. Once turkeys go on sale around Thanksgiving, I usually buy 2 or 3 and keep them in my freezer so that I can cook more later in the year. Probably the only reason I don't have it more often is any other time of the year they're not as readily available or cheap. Much easier to get whole chickens to halve and smoke when I want something like that.

I only eat the dark meat, other than that, turkey is gross. Needs to be fried turkey also.
Or else just sides for me.
I ask my mom to do a meat roast or something, but she still cooks the turkey no one eats cause of tradition
damn turkey company brainwashing everyone

problem is that people generally put little effort in cooking the turkey since it's a lot of meat to handle at once, but everyone wants do it because tradition demands it. if you don't overcook the **** out of it and complement it well it's a worthy meal

Thanksgiving food is kinda bland across the board. I don't think it should be necessary to eat the same god damn meal every time Thanksgiving comes around. Why not variate what's on the menu?

I like Turkey but not overly into it. We sometimes do ham or pork shoulder. I think most turkey is a bit dry even if done well. But most don't do it well for fear of undercooking. I've never had deep fried turkey but I'm sure it's great.
I bought this charbroil oil less "deep fryer". The bird comes out looking like it's been rotisseried. Juicy as FOKK. And takes less time than the oven. Made a chicken the other week that was hnnngggggg SRS
