My wife and I went to a strip club together for fun a few weeks ago (first time both of us going together). Tbh, it was pretty funny. We were laughing the whole time and joking around. Some woman put her big ol' boobs in my face and I overpaid for some groce chicken parmigana. Not something we plan on doing again for at least another 10 years.

It's your GIRLFRIEND. If it were my best friend, my wife would tell me to go and be careful. I don't drink anymore so she would be more concerned about me being around all the booze. We trust eachother she knows I'm not going to do anything.

I don't blame you though, OP. I don't like strip clubs either. But sometimes you have to do things to make others happy especially if it's a good friend.

No judgement for not wanting to go - they're overrated - but w/e can still be a good time with the right people/attitude.

In the end though this day is not about you or your gf - it's about the groom. I get that some girls don't like their men going to strip clubs but if she is a reasonable person she should hear you out and be understanding of this situation.

If it's simply not going to happen on your end, meet up with him before/after for the other festivities. Might be a bit awkward taking heat from the others for skipping the rippers but down the road he'll appreciate your efforts to not skip out on the party entirely.

Also as best man you pretty much decide what you're doing for the bachelor party. So do something sports related or outdoorsy. You also don't need to spend all day at strip clubs. Go in, grab a couple beers and have something else planned if you even hit the club.

Had a five team, four man scramble for my bachelor party. My best man hired a cart girl with the drinks just for our five groups. My father-in-law to be and my dad threw in cash to make the scramble interesting.
