As much as they messed up, they cannot fail. Next movie is gonna make billions regardless.

Retconning the Last Jedi is also not gonna work. Luke is a failure and Snoke(who was terrible CGI anyways) is dead. We have to live with that.

My wishlist for the next movie:
1. Kill off one of the good guys. Preferably Rose, but going all in and killing Rey could be awesome, redeem her Mary Sueishness and trigger Kylo Ren becoming a good guy.
2. Phasma could come back. Her death wasn't that important and clear.
3. Pls don't focus on the boy from the last movie. Kids are annoying in movies 9/10 times.
4. I don't care about Rey's parents, but some reason for her powers would be nice.
5. Forget that bullsh*t they had Luke say about the Dark Side/Light Side. Keep it black and white pls
6. Introduce some non-rebel troops to fight the First Order. The Empire really should have some rogue military force running around without trying to do something. At least arm some mercenaries. Shouldn't cost that much, since being an arms dealer automatically makes you super rich without fail in that universe.
7. Make Chewbacca have some badass moments.

Think a lot of you are going to be surprised thinking that the next movie will make bank no matter what.

I know that Solo was the first Star Wars movie I didn't see in theaters and that was a direct result of what they did to Luke and that POS TLJ. And I sure as **** won't be seeing the next one, and I highly doubt anyone that didn't see Solo to protest the last one will be seeing Episode 9.

Was a huge Star Wars fan, as in saw a new hope over 100 times, but the last Jedi ruined Star Wars for me.
I have not spent a dime on a single Disney product since that movie and don’t plan to anytime soon.

If I stopped watching I’m sure I’m not the only one, the last Jedi just hit a billion , the ninth will be lucky to even make that considering the last two movies TLJ and Solo have been disastrous

TLJ killed starwars.

It killed off the (old) fans. The ones who were going and buying tickets for their kids.

The new fans haven't materialized because the story is chit. It's a 2 hour chitty toy commercial.

And the toys are languishing on shelves. Go to any toy store. No one is buying that crap either.

jj abrams and rian jonson are trash. the guy who did rogue one should've been the one to do the trilogy too.

the last jedi could have not been total chit if they kept that a-wing pilot alive as a main character, she seemed pretty capable as a character. the smaller girl was just trash as a character.

Ep. VIII was a retcon of everything in VII. The ONLY solution to that is to remake it; it was an incoherent disaster that backed the story into a corner that Rian J probably knew he wouldn't have to work it out of. It does not deserve to be the foundation or stepping stone of any further development if even to explain it away. The fact Kathleen Kennedy didn't order massive re-shoots for it but did for Solo means the agenda is definitely personal for her. IX cannot make sense with VIII existing.

I honestly hope Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy leave film. You could have rehashed the same plots of the originals but with more "diversity" and still have been ahead of this. What happened with the TLJ is pure contempt for the franchise.It was KK and her posse intentionally burning it down.

TBH I'd have no problem if her parents were nobodies, but both Abrams AND Johnson have back themselves into a corner because they made her a Mary Sue.

If her parents are nobodies why the hell is she so powerful and perfect at every damn thing she tries? Even if the story is something cliche like she's Han and Leia's daughter (making her and kylo brother and sister) I would be satesfied with that because at least she would have at least a force sensitive parent that would give a smidgen of an explanation why she's practically a GOD.
