Nothing currently, not sure how I would react but probably fight it pretty hard. Before the current GF, I've pretty much exclusively dated crazy women so guess it's possible it would happen. Every ex in my life is in complete NC mode, don't ever try to keep in contact.

There is no protection against this. As a male you have a target on your back. I have always been a total gentleman to women and yet in at least 3 occasions I have had different women spread rumours about me. Thankfully nothing as serious as sexual assault (to my knowledge) but have had them say things like I harrassed them, acted really sleazy propositioning them. Even had an ex telling people I was aggressive towards her. On my f'in life 0 of it true. In every single case I had somehow rejected them or at least not returned their advances. Next thing I know they hate me with a passion and talking chit about me.
Remember women are only good to you when you are going along with how they want things to go. If you reject them or deny them anything they want then you just became a marked man.
The only way to fix this is for harsh prison sentences to start being dished out for anyone that makes accusations that after a trial turn out to be false. Also make sexual harrassment and assault criminal only and not civil. So at no point can a women ever sue or make a penny from being a victim. Justice is served if the guy did it he goes to jail.

I don't go into patient rooms to do baths or anything else remotely considered invasive or involving their privacy without a female nurse or CNA there. Had a patient three years ago (60+ year old lady) try to get me fired after a CNA and I bathed her and thank goodness I had someone else there with me otherwise it would have been her word against mine.

I don't think people are often freely throwing out accusations as suggested here. Some random nobody accusing another random nobody is maybe a different story and would make me wonder what's drawing so much negative attention to the person being accused
But in a case like this, chit is happening on the world stage. Falsely accusing someone in this type of situation would be a massive fukn risk, one slip up or piece of evidence and you're publicly ousted with the world watching. Aside from that, nobody with half a brain (I'd hope) is jumping to conclusions based on some vague-as-fuk claims and zero real evidence

Having said that I think kavanagh should be confirmed unless some solid evidence surfaces. Our society is based on rule of law, and the law only applies in the court of law based on evidence. I'm saying I know people that I was friends with and crossed paths with in highschool, both male and female, who all were chill and did normal chit in HS, but later developed into the type of person who would definitely make false accusations for money or attention. They didn't show any signs that they would develop into this type of person in highschool, so it would have been impossible to tell that they would develop into an attention whoring loser.
