Just because someone reads something doesn't mean they'll perform the action needed.
I firmly believe people who have read receipts on just don't have enough work and want their email boxes to be filled up. lol.

- They are being passive aggressive
Whichever it is, I instantly think less of a person who communicates like this.

Good afternoon team.
First I'd like to thank everyone for their efforts on this weeks project. Department 6 on floor 7 his increased their productivity by roughly %18 this fiscal year. I'd like Chad and Stacy from accounting to close the loop on this for the rest of the company. However we need to discuss some improvements in our sales department. I'd like us to streamline our process for shipping and transactions. Timothy from shipping and receiving: Please advise.
Thank you.

Retired engineer here. After providing several solutions to solve a problem, I'd use "please advise" so the decision-makers would let me know which to proceed with.

I used to always use "Best Regards" until I accidentally wrote "Best Retards" as I was answering an email on the road.
Now I just use "Thanks"

Please advise
As per my last email

I use "as per my last email" when im pissed rather than saying fuk you, you cant read/follow directions, some of the jargon is gold for pissing people off while still being work appropriate.

"Please advise" makes you come off as an entitled prick.
In plain english it's "I can't do it, stop what your'e doing and help me please!"
Most of the time it's used when people are too stupid/lazy to figure things out on their own.

I do this occasionally. It does sound a little douchey, but its the only way to approach a situation when you've given multiple options and need a timely response.

I firmly believe people who have read receipts on just don't have enough work and want their email boxes to be filled up. lol.
