Husband and wife should keep separate accounts and have one shared. If wife is stay at home mom she gets a monthly spending allowance and monthly food, etc allowance.
This guy is a complete moron giving his wife access to his saving account. The only way she should have access to it is through a will so it transfers to her if he dies.

I'm a cop. Worked a domestic case awhile back where a local business owner (Millionaire) was involved. His stay at home wife of 30 years left with her clothing and car. Didn't ask for alimony or any portion of the assets. All we could prove on him was a couple of misdemeanor domestic violence charges. 24 hours total in jail then he bonded out. Fines and anger management as repercussions. (Typical punishment for guys without a long criminal record). She was so scared she only wanted out. Asked for nothing. Ended up getting a PO box for mail and moving to an unregistered address to be sure she was going to be safe.
There are a few other local cases where average salary brahs ended up in similar scenario's. No alimony or assets. And you take what I give you on child support type deals.
Any time I hear about a dude getting fukked in a divorce I know he really aint that bad of a guy. A ****ty husband perhaps. But not really one for violence.
