I want to preface this by saying that as harsh as this sounds I don't mean it to be rude or look down on you. I've made plenty of my own mistakes and understand regret, but id like to offer my honest thoughts based solely on what you've typed here.....

I don't see a true drive to be successful tbh, I see a guy who chases money around and lets the desire for money in the 'here and now' dictate his entire life and future. It's cool you've lived all over the country and tried various things, but if you're poor and have nothing to show for it what's the point? Undoubtedly you have a unique perspective because you've had so many situations come up, but now what? You're not an entrepreneur, you're just a opportunist who tries to take the easiest way out. Need a buck? Move and take a job you had no real passion for. If you wanted something you'd buckle down and push through it to become truly great at that thing, but you're just taking random jobs based on what someone told you and joining the military just for money? Ionno man, I see a guy who is lost and thinks doing a lot of work is working hard. You're spreading yourself way too thin here. Pick a field and become good at it, if the field is oversaturated then either become great or don't bother, but stop jumping around so often to things that aren't even related. You need to realize that in order to make money you must spend money and if you dont have any, you're not going to be that successful starting your own company or trying to run any business. You also keep going to the MOST expensive cities in the country. Stop doing that, move to a place where you can stretch the money you make and stop paying an arm and a leg to live in a ****hole. I don't understand how you don't have any money. My buddy went into the airforce as enlisted and came out with thousands and thousands saved up and he barely ranked up. I don't think you manage what money you do make very well and that's harming your outcome as well. Look at your position now, taking anything you can just to get by. How has ANY of your experience helped you? I think you can make it because you do have some drive to succeed in that you took time to self reflect and are trying to improve, but I think you're incredibly misguided and pissing away lots of time. I'd move out of that city as my first plan of action and stop taking advice from people who make more money on youtube than they do at the careers they are claiming are the best to make money in. You don't even need to think about being rich or successful, you should first try to be able to afford a place to stay and make a car payment, then go from there. Plenty of successful people have hit rock bottom before the come up, but many more have hit rock bottom and never budged since. If you want to really become the person you're aiming to be you need to make small incremental steps to get started and then once you're up to speed you can afford to experiment or take more risks. If you somehow can manage to afford a decent camera you could try to document your struggles on youtube and make your channel about coming up from nothing, like a true rags to riches story. You seem like a nice dude and I'm sure people would sympathize with your situation. The most important thing though is to stop thinking every problem you have isn't related in part to you or your own actions or lack there of. If what you are doing isn't working, stop doing it and do what successful people do and I can assure you it's not scrambling around to jobs they don't even care about. If you're going to be poor at least be poor doing something you enjoy. Anyway man don't be upset or take my words too harshly as that's not my intent. God speed to you and I think you can overcome it, but you have to keep focused on what matters. Good luck.

I did software sales interviews for a year until I landed a job because they usually require a degree and I dont have one and then I didnt make quota after a month. Boom 1 year down the drain

I've never had my living expenses exceed 1,000/month and often it was 700/month always living with a dozen people in poverty eating poor too.

What I want to focus on about what you said is the find your passion part.

I would think I had a passion and then I would discover I didnt have it anymore after trying it for months snd then I'd rinse snd repeat that process so much that 15 years went by.

My only other real comment is it does seem a little hard to believe that with your experience in the air force, firefighter, sales, bar tender etc that you can't find a better job than what you have now. I mean you are having trouble paying the rent and living when rent is only $400 a month? Hell CA for most of the spring thru August was paying up to $2300 EVERY 2 weeks for the covid unemployment. I think they still pay $2500 a month or so.

There is definitely more to the story more than likely that involves undiagnosed ADHD (no coping methods), severe BPD, and or drugs.
He is very much an opportunist and has probably abandoned what could have been decent careers in search of what seemed like an awesome opportunity on his horizon. I have a friend from highschool who is wired the same way. Severe ADHD/BPD and always calling me to talk about his new passion. Rapper, comedian, coder, data scientist, e-commerce guru, etc... very very similar sounding to OP. Unfortunately for OP, unlike my friend, it doesn't seem like he has any real support network of family or friends who grow up with, and I truly feel bad for him in that regard.

OP - this housing chit is temporary, but when you get out of this, are you prepared to grind in this new career? I'm more concerned about the long term picture for you. If you aren't extremely talented or lucky, then success for most people is a slow burn that involves patience.

BTW OP as I am sure you are aware, there was a shortage for firefighters this summer in CA with all of the fires taking place. If you live in Hollywood there are tons of firefighting jobs available nearby.

The place is covered in rat poo and dust and spider webs.

There is a background with lots of small sheds converted into rooms.

She stays in her shed and uses a bucket to pee in. So disgusting.

I live there because I take routine multiple month long benders to research what career path I want because I'm never satisfied. Most jobs are really depressing to me. I love physical work and I ignored my childhood dream of being a carpenter because it didnt sound as cool as something in tech or owning a biz.

So I just got to Hollywood back here again after years and took a month vacation to smoke weed daily. Huge waste of time and money.

After money ran out I got a a min wage job and have an offer for a non commercial truck driving job for 1200/week according to the hiring guy but I gotta find $100 to pass a physical so I can prove I am healthy to drive and need to pass a drug test so I waited another month to cleanse my system of the toxins.

I should have been able to get that groundman position within 2 weeks of moving here if I wasnt so immature with money and taking a month off and smoking weed but now I have to get a new social security card and a ton of other paperwork, still procrastinating it.

So I used to have severe ADHD but it's calmed down alot. I have never been able to find my passions in a job and thats because its not in a job so I'm finally acting self aware and realizing I'm not CEO/10k a day material and need to do a trades job and stack cash and put some of it into advertising the video content that I want to make.

I have been irrational optimistic thinking I'm going to hit it big at my next biz adventure or job opportunity because I avoid talking about my feelings and the teuma and abuse I went through as a kid. I was such a difficult person to deal with for most my life because I ignored how messed up I was emotinally.
