Maine from April to October has to be incredible though. But jobs, taxes, politics aren't really ideal in Maine.

portland maine is a liberal dump but it really isnt "bad" like a NYC or Philly dump, Maine is open/concealed carry state no questions asked state and you can smoke and grow green legally. pretty sweet state, low population and most people aren't commie scum TBH.

Scottsdale is nice. Old Town Scottsdale is really cool. However, it definitely seems like the kind of place you need to have and spend a lot of money to have a good time. Seems a little too high pinky for me, and good luck finding a single home with a decent property for less than 750k. Overall though, Scottsdale is cool but really the area itself has only golfing, hiking, and shopping. Seems like a great getaway weekend spot, but living there would be boring. Particularly for someone like me who prefers low cost, outdoor entertainment.

Keep in mind that I'm married. If I was young and single, I would be singing a different tune. This area I would say definitely has really attractive women so I could see why young men would love it here. Doesn't mean anything to me at all though so it isn't a "Pro" that even makes the Pros/Cons list, it isn't a factor at all.

Yea, I know Portland is pretty liberal. Thats fine as long as they aren't Portland, Washington, Cali type liberals. The New England area seems to have classic liberals, the Live and Let live old school type of libs. I'm fine with that. Solid thing about New England is that it is way too cold for the Homeless and there's too much "old money" up there. They pretend to be bleeding hearts, but they make sure to clean the mess and practice the NIMBY way when it comes to the homeless, crime, Antifa/BLM stuff. At least that is my perception from what I think I know about the area.

Actually the homeless situation is pretty aggressive , there are more homeless on corners begging in Portland and other major cities in ME than places like NJ NY. The liberals in ME are stuck up white old *******s and young scumbags and they either live in the cities or are rich asf and live near the cities in huge houses.
