didn't he have a cocktail of 5+ drugs in his system?

Floyd had multiple drugs in his system. The current argument from the prosecution's toxicologist-witness is that the measured levels were "nor********" which apparently is a metabolized form of the drug, that indicates recent and since-processed use of ********. So that's what I'm curious about.
He definitely would have lived if he didn't put himself this situation. He also would have lived if Chauvin would have got off of him.

There's definitely not a murder charge here, I think there's absolutely a manslaughter one though.

And this is the kind of thinking that has put blacks where they're at in the US. Facts don't matter, the truth doesn't matter, feelings are what matter. And people wonder why blacks are looked down upon by every other race.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

They showed the levels on court tv, but they didn't reach the levels to create symptoms that would cause death. I forget the exact number, I am sure it is online somewhere.

This is just one expert called by the Prosecution. Undoubtedly the Defense will call an expert which will say the opposite. Overall it'll probably be a wash on this issue.

Now only an idiot would deny that choking someone with a knee for 10 minutes while they are handcuffed, including 3 minutes while unconscious, including after you were told they had no pulse, is NOT assault, especially when it violates police policy.

Then third degree murder = "by perpetrating an act eminently dangerous to others and evincing a depraved mind, without regard for human life". Again only a psycho path would deny his actions did not meet that standard. Any other questions?
Just a heads up as a lawyer you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. There are reasonable arguments to be made on both side, but you're not making them.

As starting points, define the elements of assault, and define the elements of 3rd degree murder. Now walk us through how the facts of this case fulfill each of those elements given that: 1) intent is required for the former and Chauvin likely reasonably believed he was following police policy (and arguably was), and; 2) causation of death is required by the latter, and Floyd had 3x the lethal dose of ******** in his system and was complaining about not being able to breath before he was restrained.

I'm pretty sure his ******** levels were multiple times what would be a morbid level.

Yeah maybe, the problem is how does Chauvin know that he ingested lethal amounts of a powerful drug? I'm sure he suspected he was on something based by his behavior, but I'd guess in nearly all situations, those restraints are not deadly. The psycho activists in media just can't admit that both sides fukt up.

It's just typical tribalism garbage. The irony being that I know about more fukt up instances of legit police brutality than most of these civil rights activists. Cases they will never advocate for.

The chart showed a bar graph, where his level was on the low end of the 3 graphs.
If he would have died from that, F, his behavior would have been calm and sleepy, not struggling to breath twisting and contorting his body. That is what I surmised.

I don't think he can be found guilty on all charges... lol

And I don't care if he is found guilty or not. He won't become some Martyr for me, he's some guy far away from me doing a career I would never consider dealing with crackheads all day which I would never subject myself to. I don't relate to the guy at all.

He's still innocent though, at least of murder.

Are liberals really this stupid and easily mislead?

It's called expert shopping, where both sides find experts to support their version of events. It's very prevalent in medical malpractice lawsuits.

I've done some expert witness work in my field - civil engineering - unfortunately there are plenty of people who will go along with whatever side hires them for a fat paycheck.

How hard is it for any person - black, white, yellow, purple, whatever... to follow police instructions and not resist arrest? Seriously how flipping stupid do you have to be to resist arrest, or resist being put in a squad car? THAT is the reason that the situation escalated and eventually led to unnecessary loss of life.

I am looking forward to your ridiculous reply/excuse.

There is literally video evidence of Chauvin kneeling on Floyd's neck while he was pleading that he couldn't breathe. Miscers literally think it is okay to kill people as long as the victims are minorities.

Look at whenever a mass shooting happens targeting black churches, asian salons, etc. Miscers come out of the woodwork to make excuses and defend the murderers.

Even saying that the shooter must have had a bad day. Lmao. Whites show more empathy to murders than innocent victims because of skin color.

Link to miscers defending Dylan Roof? Or other black church massacres I am not aware of?? Cause I would gladly flip the electrocution switch on that piece of chit myself and sleep well that night, and think most would agree with me.

Didn't realize that main misc was talking about this as well. Dr Tobin was great for the prosecution yesterday, and the ME today was....... I don't think he was really "bad" for either side. The defense still can use certain things to fit their angle the same as the prosecution can.

Manslaughter is the charge I still think is gonna happen unless something crazy happens, but I wouldn't be altogether shocked if Murder 3 he is found guilty of also. He won't be guilty of murder 2 there's just no way, but I still think the door is slightly open for 3

It seems irrelevant to me.

They did not invent a new wrestling move by some real-time moral judgement. They followed the procedure directed from their department for this situation.

I do not think the force makes sense. I do not think the officers know this is dangerous. They just performed the arrest as instructed and probably assumed it is safe.

Sue the government for approving the method.

The modern right wing American is an absolute vile coward (srs). A champion of mental gymnastics, hypocrisy and double standards. Anything to cope so that they can continue to wage slave and stuff their mouths with fast food and soda as they live out their bleak existence.
