Thanks kimm! Merry Christmas to you, too!

We kind of fell in to the menu but now it's tradition. When we were first married we always traveled to family for Christmas. Then our family grew and it got to be too much work. The first year we stayed home we were deciding what to cook and my wife opened up her Betty Crocker cookbook and all those items were on one page and looked good and the rest is history.

Done with shopping for immediate family. We got together with my dad's family yesterday and I will spend Christmas with my parents and sister on Saturday. We'll probably do breakfast together since my sister has to work Christmas evening (hospital). Merry Christmas everyone!

Always focused on Xmas movies and music, but never on any decoration or illuminations.

Reading this thread made me more ambitious.

Just bought LED Xmas illumination 10m with a controller.

Only cost me $21.

Maybe a poor man's small happiness, but to me, nevertheless a great improvement of Xmas happiness in decades.

The $hittiest photo I've ever taken...LOL.

The point is that I'm happy.

Tell me your plans...
Shopping is finished I mostly shopped online and not in person this year however I am bringing food to a family gathering. Strip steaks, bone in chickens marinated, hamburger patties, hotdogs, shrimp and lobster tails.

I’m getting myself some gaming stuff and a new tattoo. I’m a introvert I prefer to stay in but I’ll enjoy the Xmas party bbq. Be a keg there but I will be drinking soda by the can. I will ignore the bar too... and the punch bowl cause never know who might spike it with what lol.

I’m watching Die Hard, Home Alone 1-2, Four Christmases and although I’m generally a fan of national lampoon movies I didn’t care for the Xmas vacation much.

Usually my whole family comes together. So, it’ll be a big gathering with my parents and four siblings and their partners. Let alone my own partner. I still have to customize stockings and buy a few more stocking stuffers. Also, have a few more Christmas cards to send out to miscers. And maybe a few more random presents since I heard no one stuck to the budget this year LOL

One the menu; Turkey - Ham - mashed potatoes- sweet potato casserole- macaroni and cheese - macaroni salad - pasta salad - green beans - baked beans - a sweet corn bread - chocolate pudding pie - apple pie - peach cobbler - and a few other desserts

Had ugly sweater and cookie swap party last night with the family. So fukin full (Italians)

Christmas Eve we do 7 fishes so that will be sweet as I love seafood. No idea how much I spent this year on presents, well over $3000. I definitely like to give rather than receive. (homo)

Merry Christmas Kimm!

I'm pretty much ready, only buy for my son and my mom. Only thing left I need to buy is a gift card for my mom (that's what she asks for), a couple small gift cards for my sons stocking and need to wrap his gifts. He won't have much under the tree because his big gift was the Halestorm/Evanescence concert that was supposed to be last Friday and got postponed until January due to Covid.I also need to do my cookie/treat baking this week.

No idea yet if I'm going to my moms Christmas eve or Christmas day. My son always goes with his dads fam for Christmas eve because that's when they celebrate and all his cousins are there, then he comes here to spend the night and wakes up with me on Christmas morning. We do presents and breakfast and watch a movie then he goes back to his dads. My ex and his wife always invite me for Christmas dinner but I never go since it's usually my one day off and I want to relax and rot. lol Since it's a Saturday and I'm off work Friday I may go this year.

Tell me your plans...
In order of your questions

A bit more present shopping to do.
Will be staying with the parents from Christmas Eve through to Boxing Day
There will 5 of us I believe around the dinner table on Christmas day.
Menu? I'm not even sure. It will likely be

smoked salmon on brown bread with a slice of lemon OR prawn cocktail on bed of iceburg lettuce

Roast turkey OR roast beef with roast tatters, mix of veg, stuffing, pigs in blankets, Yorkshire Puddings

Christmas pudding AND/OR some other dessert
Cook the man some eggs!

Leaving Xmas eve.. Driving south through Appalachia, probably stop in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge. Then doing a beach tour around Florida. Taking sand with me this time so won't get to sample the locals as much.

Plan on staying in St. Pete, Miami, Marathon, Key west for New Years.

I am ready. How are you doing, Kimm? You excited about Christmas?

I'm doing a little bikepacking trip the 24-25 and then seeing family later in the week. I feel like my soul and heart need alone time in the cold. (I'm fine!Just giving my body and heart what it needs right now) I baked an apple pie for the festivities after Christmas and I've been asked to contribute a cheeseball which is my favorite thing in the world!

Merry Miscmas, you guys! <3

Cheese balls with green olives in the center?! Or are there not any cheese balls made without olives? If not must’ve been a stupid question. I am always on the hunt for new cheese ball coatings for the green olive though?

Olives in a cheeseball, I can't. Guess we'll need our own personal cheeseballs!

It'll be my first Christmas away from family since I moved out of state, so it'll be kind of tough. However I sent a bunch of gifts their way and my Mom already got the box. So at least they got it and can open everything on Christmas. I'll be driving 12 hours to be with my grandmother and aunt in Henderson, NV. I'd fly but there's a lot of BS going on with airports, and I'm not paying $800+ for economy one way, plus with the one stop in Denver, a one way flight takes 5.5 hours. I'd need a to get a rental anyway since they live a half hour from the airport.

But this year I got a lot of nice stuff for my family, and since I'll be over for the weekend to visit, I plan on cooking a big dinner for them on Saturday (Christmas is covered they said). Overall it'll be great to see them. I haven't seen my aunt in probably 4-5 years, and my grandmother in roughly 3 years. (Due to covid)

All Hail Kimm, the REAL Queen of the Misc. Ded fukn srs. Probably the only real female left other than Snails and Legz.

Always on spread with you.

This Christmas, I'm getting fat as phuck. Srs. Going to have turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, homemade rolls, and that's just for starters. Going full bloat mode.

Getting some serious time off from work (5 whole days) so I'm going to enjoy every second. Spent WAY too much on presents this year for my family, but I wanted to. It feels so phucking good to spend a ton of money on people who love you. I need to do it more often!
