The amount of money I get paid to WFH is just stupid. But after having commuted and worked my ass off climbing the corporate ladder for 30years, I'm ok with it. I go in for important meetings maybe 2x a week. And I just go in for those meetings so the time going to and fro counts in my workday. Almost three years in and feel semi-retired but still cashing them checks.

Beautiful.

WFH is pretty based when you're busy

The downtimes suck though, its hard not to rot when you dont have anything to do. Would rather be busy then do nothing

Agreed, need to keep busy, lucky for me my job provides that. But working hard in sweats and a t-shirt, working out in your basement gym whenever you want, listening to whatever music you want while ordering people around via zoom and teams is pretty awesome.

I'm paid to do what is needed of me, not 40 non-stop hours of work that doesn't exist. When the big projects come through and I can do something in an hour that others might need 2 days to do...well, that's their problem.
