You’re right that Love definitely shouldn’t be a FA. Some of my league mates are high on guys I’m not as high on like Daniels and Caleb so that’s why he’s there. If I ever was gonna roster a second QB Love would be him lol

I'm talking last pick and a good sized bench, I don't mind it. It's probably the first guy I drop later.

For instance Will Levis. Call me crazy but I kinda dig him this year. The Titans might be just messy enough where they need to chuck it. They have a new coaching regime, he's got a couple weapons like Hopkins/Ridley. the TE is ok, the RBs can both catch passes.

I have no problem throwing a dart at Will Levis with my last pick for the hell of it. QB or not. and if he pops off the first week or two you know people will snatch him up.

Brahs, I'm in a 2 QB 10 team league and have Allen as my QB1 and have Herbert and Darnold lol. Would you start Darnold over Herbert? Bad QB with weapons or good QB with… Quentin Johnston?

If we are talking like 8 person bench I could see it

Herbert has Palmer who has been good when given a decent pass volume and Ladd will come on strong to end the year I bet

Those aren’t bad QB2s at all. Herbert was top 5 last year for the beginning before he got hurt and the Vikings OC is great at scheming up plays. Nick Mullens was averaging 18-20 points with Jefferson late season last year so I think Darnold will be more than ok

Play Allen obviously every week in your QB1 spot and play Herbert or Darnold just based off matchups

Honestly they both have good match ups week 1 but I’d probably play Herbert just because he’s the more proven guy and chargers Raiders is a division game that’ll likely be high scoring

Kirk over Ridley week one in 12 team ppr as flex, right?

Gotta think there will be a lot of points scored in Miami/Jacksonville vs Tennessee/Chicago

Outside of just matchups, I want to see what Tennessee looks like and how they use Ridley. I'm sort of optimistic about the offense improving this year, but Levis isn't proven, and they have several high volume, mid-level target type receivers in Ridley, D-Hop, and Boyd, so even if the offense does take a step forward, there is risk in what Ridley's role will be. If you have to play Ridley as a WR3 or flex, it's fine, but if you have to flexibility to start the season with Kirk instead and give it a week or two to see how Ridley fits in, that's a safer play.

Different league, flex play Connor or Kirk? Currently playing Connor who is always a good floor guy due to sheer volume of snaps.

Week 1 is always a little challenging for me, so many options. It’s easy to just say play your draft order and I mostly agree, but there are times to go against the grain too

Connor safer pick. Jags Miams will be a shootout so there's that.

Conner. Maybe not the best matchup but I do think AZ does better this year and he was great when healthy last year. I’d ride him til if/when the wheels fall off

Kirk I’m not a fan of. Engram gets a bunch of targets, they’ll want to run a lot with ETN, they may get tank more involved this year if their glowing camp reviews can be trusted and I think Brian Thomas Jr will end up being their WR1 this year

I'm a Vikings homer but Darnold is my sleeper QB. Dude finally has a legit OL and a legit offense all around. Not to mention a very QB friendly coach. I picked him up as I think he has potential to be a top 10 fantasy QB this year. I plan to sit him and see how the first couple weeks plays out and go from there. I also play a 2 QB league. Darnold is my QB3 for now

I would say Conner for this one for sure. The risks with Conner are that he gets hurt and/or Trey Benson blows up when he gets a chance. Neither of those things are going to happen in week 1, so this is as safe a time as there will be to get what you can from Conner.

well he's got God at WR and a nice TE once healthy. I really like Aaron Jones for as long as he's healthy. I know he's getting old but a pulled hammy last year at least kept him from getting knocked around right? Maybe he's got one more big year in him

I'd go Kirk.

Ingram and Kirk will soak up a lot of targets this year due to Ridleys departure. JAX offense is much better than CAR. DJ will average around 9 PPG. Kirk will average around 10 PPG. Kirk also has the bigger play potential.

I was leaning Kirk. That all makes sense

Johnson 1000%

Old ass Adam Thielen was the WR11 through the first half of the year last year. Panthers receivers are such trash, no one but Thielen was getting open

Diontae is one of the best separators in the league and in 2024 he’s leagues ahead of Thielen. Also Bryce will be improved this year he’s been working with the same QB coach that helped Geno and baker get back on track

Diontae is gonna be a top 15-20 WR this year barring injuries, he will be their entire offense til Brooks is off IR

Kirk will likely be the 3rd target on the Jags halfway through the season behind engram and Brian Thomas Jr

Healthy is the key word for sure. The first couple weeks might be rough but once Hockinson comes back, which is at least 4 weeks I think Sam will really start to shine.

I have actually been thinking about dropping Addison for Hockinson. I think Addison has value until Hockinson comes back. I'm already deep at WR and it would give me 2 legit TE's for more depth. I'm just not sold Addison can be consistently reliable in fantasy if JJ is there, and specially when Hockinson comes back. Hockinson is a FA in my league right now so I don't have to screw up my waiver wire position which is 2nd. Saving that for the Pacu of 2024

I wish I have a larger bench

Do you have a free IR slot? Could stash Hock there.

Good call, I figured it out, Thanks brah!!!!. Hock is on my IR. I had to drop someone and add Hock to figure it out. It would not let me straight up add Hock to my IR spot. So Darnold was dropped and is on the waiver wire now. Somehow I picked up the Jets D. I'm rolling with the Saints D this week and then would like to roll with the Jets D the rest of the season and stream. I think the plan is to let it be. Weds when the waiver wire is over, drop the Saints D and pick up Sam would be perfect.

I really don't want to mess up my waiver wire order as I'm am 2nd right now. See how the first couple weeks play out.

I essentially dropped Darnold and added Hock and the Jets D. I'm happy with that.

I drafted Hock in the 10+ round in almost every league I'm in and stashed him on IR (and picked up a different dart throw in the first round of waivers). He's targeting a week 7 return right now.

I did the same with Chubb, 3rd to last pick before K and DST. After waivers cleared used the free spot to handcuff Bijan with allegaire

We’ll see on Barkley. He’s always an injury risk, and I doubt he gets touches like that weekly.

Overreaction always happens week 1

Decent week 1. It was looking bleak but I’m now only down 3 with Aiyuk to go against the SF D. Funny enough the work league I expected to dominate I got absolutely crushed this week. My opponents team went off and some of my guys were complete duds. Gotta love fantasy.

edit: lol

I hate fantasy. Puka is out for a month, St Brown didn't do anything and I lost by 8 points. Those 2 guys are/were the foundation of my team. My RB's were suppose to be the weak spot but they are the foundation now.

I started Darnold over Herbert which was the right call. I'm not playing Darnold against the niners though.
