I think I like Gibbs over Barkley even with the hamstring injury as long as it's looking minor. If you don't have any limitations, he could be a great keeper for the next several seasons.

I'm loving basically every RB that swapped teams this offseason. I'm completely happy with any of these dudes

Henry in BAL
Joe Mix in HOU
Saquon PHI
A Jones in MIN
Jacobs in GB

hell even Singletary in NY

Just did my main draft. Wasn’t thrilled but fantasy pros seems to think I did pretty well but I’m thin especially early at rb.

Rb: k Williams, r Stevenson, j Warren, dobbins, Hubbard, j brooks
Wr: tyreek, Pittman, Aiyuk, Kirk, d Johnson, Jeudy, d Douglas

For 10 teams, I agree that you're thin at RB. I'm pretty much out on Kyren this year at cost as well. He was obviously great last year (league winner in many leagues), but I was never a fan going back to ND, so I just don't trust that his workload will hold. QB is obviously fine with Mahomes, and WR looks great (I like both Diontae and Jeudy as breakout sleepers). TE & DST are whatever, fine, but I'd be very worried about the backs. There's just too many ifs for my liking in a 10-teamer (IF Kyren's workload holds, IF Dobbins stays healthy, IF Carolina's offense isn't the dregs of the league, etc.).

Unfortunately I’ve had a late pick the last few years so with keepers it’s slim pickins at RB by time it gets to me and Kyren was the best option by far. If Kyren falters or he ends up in a committee I’m in trouble. But it’s still better than aaron jones being my top back again. Or at least less infuriating.

Yeah, Jones is definitely a worse option as a RB1, so there's that.

I don't know your roster structure or what's on waivers but I'd be inclined to drop Jeudy and Douglas for a couple high upside RBs. Assuming you can only start 3-4 WRs since you'd be more than covered there with the other 5.

Got a quick keeper question, and I need to get back to the commissioner today. I'm in a league with one keeper who I can keep for 3 rounds higher than I drafted him (no FA keepers, so no Puka or Kyren, LOL). I had told the commissioner I want to keep LaPorta in the 12th, but yesterday, I drew the 11th spot in the draft, which totally sucks this year IMO. I can also keep Breece Hall for my 1.11 pick instead of keeping LaPorta. LaPorta is at least a 6 round value as a keeper, while Breece is more like a 6 pick value, but the thought of getting Breece at the 11 is very enticing nonetheless since there's no way in hell he'll actually be there at 11.

Thoughts? This is a 12T full PPR no TEP.

Rate my 18 man guillotine league team. Drafted 3rd, never really done this before, tried to go mostly high floor guys with the exception of Samuel.

Q: Stroud
R: Rashad White
R: Pollard
W: Ceedee
W: Curtis Samuel
T: engram
Flx: Hubbard
Flx: Theilen

B: Mooney
B: Roschon Johnson
B: Carr
B: Dillon
B: D Slayton

Have no idea how to tell if this is a team that can avoid being worst of 18 week 1..time will tell. I’d like to upgrade WR first if I survive with my FAAB

There seems to be unprecedented TE depth this season, I would lean Breece

Breece. Superstar at the bottom of the first round. He's not going that late anywhere, I couldn't say no to him at the 11

For 18 teams (to start anyway), that's a great draft. Barring injury to key players (and Curtis Samuel was injured as of yesterday, although he's obviously not a critical one), you should be in this for a while.

i dunno if we've just done these threads too many times to this point but I can't do the 'rate my draft' thing anymore. especially a 10 man league

don't get me wrong my most competitive league is a 10-man. it's just…. all the teams are loaded right now. it's all about who stays healthy otherwise you're doing fine after a draft in a 10-man. the real advice comes later when it's about pickups, trades etc

I just told the commish that I want Breece for 1.11. I think I like the idea of starting with Breece then hoping for Barkley or Gibbs at 14. I'm not in love with the WRs around there (Puka, Olave, London, etc) unless AJ Brown slides for some reason. I'll wait until the next turn for WR and look for two of the Waddle, Evans, Devonta, Nabers tier players (or Marv, but I don't think he'll last until end of 3rd).

This year I wouldn't mind at all starting RB/RB if you can grab 2 true elite guys like those. Tons of great WR value like those and even later in ones like Kirk, Dell, Higgins, and Rice.

Just did a draft for another league through work and I got Mccaffrey at 3. Normally I don't play with people that are clueless but hey it's free money. The guy at 2 took Josh Allen….

stuff like that happens. that's why doing too many practice drafts on fantasypros can actually leave you ill prepared. these things take on a life of their own when the bell rings.

maybe he's a bills fan or something. and allen probably wouldn't be there at the bottom of the second round or the guy just didn't want to risk it. i wouldn't do this, but i get it.

If I can start like Breece/Henry or Breece/Pacheco or Breece/Kyren I'm all in for that

The WRs in the 2nd round are just insane prices to me (London, Olave, Marvin Harrison Jr)

Just got the draft order for my 14 team league, im 2nd. Assuming CMC is off the board who are you taking in this position?

I originally was going with Hill in mocks but RBs are chit unless Mixon falls to you by the time I get the 2/3 turn, now im thinking about taking Hall or Bijan

I'm going Breece there. Not by much vs Tyreek but yeah.

1/ Mccaff
2/ Breece
3/ Reek City
4/ Lamb i guess. would feel better if he had a new contract in place + was on the field with his team

I did a draft last week (not the league where I'm keeping Breece) where the lineup has 1 RB, 2 WR, and 2 Flex (instead of 2 RB and a single flex). This makes WR depth critical and you can get away with only starting one RB. I decided to take the strategy of taking WRs in the first 3 picks to have strength there then draft RBs until there were no more starters left to draft. I think the team I ended up with is OK given the circumstances, but when I was in the middle rounds drafting RBs, there seemed to be much more value there at WR, but I couldn't take one because I needed backs.

I ended up with:

QB: Daniels, Lawrence (QB is 50 yds/pt passing and 4 pt passing TDs, so QBs matter very little and running QBs are king)
RB: Javonte, Najee, Pollard, Singletary
WR: Jefferson, Harrison, London, Doubs, Polk, Tolbert
TE: Kincaid, Hockenson
DST/K: Who cares, last two picks.

I got the big 3 WRs who all should be elite #1 targets on their teams, and I'm really high on Kincaid (I took him as the TE2 after only LaPorta with Kelce, Andrews, McBride, etc still on the board) and got Hock late to sub in case Kincaid doesn't break out early as I expect him to. From the RBs, at least one should be good enough to start, but I felt there was better WR value on the board when I was taking them. The problem is that I had to veer away from WR for so long that I was left with basically dart throws when I got back to the position, so for the second flex, I'll need to either use another of the mediocre RBs or have one of the late round WRs to hit. It makes me nervous.

12T full PPR with the suppressed passing scoring.

I'm taking CD at the 2 spot easy

You can find value late at RB

You'll also have great RB value hit the waiver wire once some of these starting RBs go down it happens every year

Not a fan of your lineup

1) Never take a backup QB. It's just a wasted spot on your bench. Your bench should be full of backup WRs and lotto ticket RBs. Guys in ambiguous backfields like chase brown, rico dowdle, tyjae spears, etc that could easily win the starting role. Just stream QB the week you have a bad matchup or your QB is on bye

2) Wasted spot with Hockenson unless you can immediately IR him and grab a RB like I mentioned in point one. Even so, you'll never start Hock over Kincaid, so for how high I'm sure you had to draft Hock I think this was a wasted pick

3) Your WR depth is garbage. The rule of thumb is to draft as many WRs as you can start through the flex + 2. So in this lineup where you can start 4 WRs you should have drafted 6 quality WRs. Some of those can be late round flyers but you don't have a ton of upside except for Polk. Your initial 3 WRs are good but then it drops off a cliff. You are missing quality mid round guys like Rashee Rice, Godwin, Diontae Johnson, Brian Thomas Jr, etc

4) You obviously punted at the RB position. Najee is good. The rest are trash. For how bad you missed at RB your WR depth should be much better

I'll post my first draft results after tomorrow to show you what I mean
