Amazing fight, izzy looked like top tier form after a year layoff but ddp hits like a truck and has insane cardio

When Izzy wins, he's an insufferable piece of chit. When he loses, he goes ultra respectful. I think it's like a coping mechanism. Honestly, if he had won tonight, it would've been maximum levels of cringe and pettiness for the next 2 months.

Gotta love the sportsmanship from them, no sore winners and losers. Nvm above comment proved me wrong dont watch enough, but i remember watching silva during the match and just being a complete pile of **** taunting no respect, havent seen that in awhile

I thought his gas tank looked better than DDP's until the last few seconds

Great fight though, Izzy was a tough stylistic match-up for DDP. I had DDP winning on the scorecards but almost every round was close

Nothing is more satisfying then watching that insufferable obnoxious tryhard twat Rundensanya get his ass beat again. I hate everything about that lanky ass prick. Fuk him and his pathetic fanboys. Justice has been served.

DDP had to go for a finish because the judges would've surely scored all 5 rounds for Adesanya, they been sucking off "Izzy" with bs decisions throughout his entire career. I'm sure they were very upset to see that choke.

Now send this bitch to the back of the line - no more title shots. 3 loses in the last 4 fights, the freeride is over for him. I'd love to see Poatan go back to the Middleweight to smack him one last time in a non-title fight.

It's crazy because DDP looked exhausted, it seemed like Adesanya could've cruised the rest of the fight to a leg kick decision. The way DDP used his size, awkwardness and weight is something to be studied.

Nobody better ever compare Izzy to Prime silva because prime Silva would've knocked DDP out at that point.

it's crazy how DDP looks absolutely exhausted every single fight but still manages to be so dangerous. Not gonna lie it was looking bad for him because it seemed like he was losing steam and eating a lot of body shots. But when he makes the fight a sloppy mess he somehow comes out on top.

On paper DDP is supposed to lose, Adesanya has the TDD, the length, dangerous counterpuncher, speed, etc. DDP looks a bit goofy sometimes with his lunging punches, charging in, etc.

Israel seems like he's a lot more hittable nowadays. Dude blatantly cheated the first 2 rounds with multiple fence grabs on purpose.

I really do think it's a coping/defensive mechanism when he loses. He knows he couldn't mentally handle it if his opponents acted like he does when he wins. DDP is a likeable dude. Still perplexing how effective he is given how sloppy he can look at times.

Izzy's had a few counterpunch highlights in his career but his defense is not on par with prime Silva and is super effective being the aggressor.

I thought he should've let his strikes go even more so in the 3rd and 4th and went for the finish.

DDP on his post fight interview explains why he was kinda sloppy- He was maybe playing possums to make Izzy moves forward so he would get tired since Izzy doesn't fight this type of pace.
