You just proved my point… going into debt. Buy a car in cash. A mortgage can be obtained with No credit score (and should be paid off quickly as your only, one-time debt).

Money isn't "free" if you have to spend a lot of money to get a little "back".

I mean if you don't need a loan, you don't need one. Doesn't change the fact credit cards open the door for free chit.

Cars are one of the things that sometimes you absolutely have to go into debt for, unfortunately. Not that many people have that kind of cash on hand to buy even a used car, which are astronomical in price these days.

It will likely be pretty difficult to get a mortgage with no credit score too, and you'll probably have a higher interest rate.

im not paying off my mortgage as long as i can get 5%+ CDs on the oustanding principal
