i completely agree he didn't lose the game today, nor last week. nor the majority of the losses we've had over the past three seasons. all i know is there is an overwhelming amount of bad luck surrounding this team since Cam/Rivera got here. as of right now, and trust me im well aware im speaking off pure emotion now, but something needs to be done. there's a difference between losing and being a bad team, and losing the way we do repeatedly. there's a bad stigma looming over the entire organization and has been since as long as i can remember. this is going back to the cardinals game in the playoffs where delhomme threw all those picks. we haven't recovered since. something needs to happen. people keep saying calm down, we're only 0-1. then we're just 0-2. and before you know it it's another 6-10 or 7-9 season… completely unacceptable. peace out rivera, or peace out newton. trust me, i hope they make me eat my words. but as of now, **** everything. im over it.

So peace out Rivera. If you think getting rid of Cam Newton due to "luck" is a legitimate solution, you are phucking retarded. Its not karma, its not all bad luck; its terrible coaching and poor personnel decisions.

Look man, it's simple.

Cam makes amazing plays. No doubt about it. He's Supercam out there on the field sometimes. It's never been a problem with him. It's the simple plays he has to learn to make. Period.

It's not his arm. Probably the strongest arm in the league. At least on par with Rodgers and Flacco in terms of strength. Even people who question his accuracy… I've seen him throw the prettiest passes in the tightest windows. Last week he looked the sharpest I'd ever seen him. He fires bullets. It's not his accuracy.

But he has a problem. I don't know what it is. It's not coaching making him overthrow receivers by 7 yards on deep balls. Sure.. sometimes it's his foot work, sometimes it's the o-line. But even when those things are perfect… he's missing badly. It can't be his confidence either.. he's cocky as ****. There's no consistency though. He's missing ON EASY SIMPLE PLAYS that were designed and called specifically for HIS skill set by our coaches. So how can we keep blaming them? He over threw a WR screen that my 60 year old dad could hit in the backyard right now. He overthrew Gin who burned his defender (Eventhough Gin should have made more of an effort).. but still. These little misses in execution add up over the course of a game and season.

If it was up to me Rivera would have been gone LAST season.. so i'm not arguing that. But I'm just getting tired of having to defend Newton. We live in NC brah.. former Redskins territory. We live in NC.. where Wilson played his college ball. I'm so sick and tired of having to defend Cam… when he isn't giving me anything I can really back it up with. Like I said, yes he makes more amazing QB escape plays than anyone else in the league. But all of those amazing plays are only making up for the simple ones he's missing. When I say get rid of him, I'm not saying any other QB would take this team to the promise land. Of course not. I'm saying get rid of him because as long as he's playing we'll always have a CHANCE.. but that seems to be it. He has failed to make enough simple plays to take us over the hump… so this seems to be something that will continue as long as he is quarterbacking this team.

Just to defend him for a second… I get it. It can't be easy. Not to make excuses for him, but I can't think of any other quarterback whose #1 WR is about 5'8 and whose second option is 6'6. So that can maybe explain the high and/or inaccurate throws. I'm sure it's difficult when your two receivers are almost a foot apart. But I mean, come on. I'm just pissed off. And I will probably look stupid saying this as the season goes along. But hey, that's what I'm hoping for.

oh and…

Brah I can understand the bad talk on Cam. His accuracy isn't good enough. He missed (and has missed) plenty of throws. But just say that. Don't say something like "We have to get rid of Cam because of karma."

But more than anything this organization is ****. Terrible personnel decisions, terrible coaching, terrible play.

And we've got an 0-2 Giants team next week.

My big question is why are we trying to make Cam a pocket passer? He's not Manning or Brady. The other dual threat QBs around the league are utilized to their strengths (and I don't just mean read options). They roll out and do other things that help them gain an advantage. Today all I saw Cam do was drop back and chuck it. If that's the direction the franchise wants to go then we need a QB. Personally I don't think we need a new QB, I think that we need a staff that has an ability to play to our player strengths. Cam didn't play his best today but he didn't beat us.

Our coaching staff is our worst enemy.

So when is rivera getting fired? Bye week when we could possibly be 0-3?

Bell was getting massacred by him yet when our RBS were blocking they werent really focused on stopping him, he was the main one causing the disruption. The season is shot IMO, given our schedule this HAD to be a win for us.

Well Colin began saying that cam is 2-13 on close games. So Tim comes in and say "when cam came out of the game were they winning?" what more could he have done? Play defense? Most of those close games we lost in the fourth quarter we were winning. Cam plays well enough to win the game. It's not all his fault.

Normally I like Cowherd but he did rip us pretty bad. If any real Panthers die hards want to get annoyed start reading the tweets from fans, the level of stupidity is painful.

This is another way to help neutralize a sorry O-Line which is all the more reason we should be doing it. Expecting him to airmail it over and over like a true pocket passer would do is a fail strat. Maybe we'll end up high enough to get top flight WR talent and a new coaching staff and make some moves.

Or maybe this will give us more leverage to resign Cam at a lesser rate and have him primed for cheap when we actually get a group together that has a clue how to win.

Do y'all think this team just needs a top-to-bottom coaching change? Or a tear it down, COMPLETE overhaul? Similar to what the Colts did before last season.

Okay. Here is my plan for the offseason. Some of these moves even seem like full potato to me but thinking objectively I think it's for the best.

- Top-to-bottom coaching staff purge. HC, OC, DC, assistants.. pretty much anyone that has been involved in training this team needs to go. Obviously that isn't fair to some of the assistants who are probably fine but are brought down by Rivera, but I think it may be for the best for a COMPLETE, not half ass, overhaul.

- Complete overhaul of the roster. Off the top of my head, I can think of 7, maybe 8 players that deserve to stay here. Cam, Kalil, Silatolu, Kuechly, C. Johnson, Hardy(re-sign), Star, Short, Olsen. Yes. That means getting rid of Smitty, Stewart, DWill, Gross, T. Davis, Godfrey, Beason. Guys who clearly aren't TERRIBLE players, some even still damn good(Smitty), but something about this group of players just isn't getting it done(not even mentioning they're all stupidly overpaid outside of Smitty). We've tried keeping them and building around them, some half-ass rebuilding efforts, and it's just failed. As thin as our WR depth is, and Smitty being my all-time favorite NFL player, it seems full on potato.. but I just think there is something with him and Cam that rubs me the wrong way.. and Cam is clearly more valuable to us long term than Smitty is..

- We'd have to spend some money in free agency if we purged that many players as it'd open up a slew of starter spots. Hakeem Nicks is one UFA receiver that I've always loved. Frankly I'm not the least bit worried about losing our RB's.. so easily replaceable thru mid-late round drafting or free agency. Corner, OL, and WR seem to be the bigger priorities and if we draft right I think we'll do fine. This plan would all but count us out for 2014 so it is a bit drastic, but I just don't like this core of players. Most of their problems fall back on Rivera, and it's not their fault Hurney overpaid them.. but it's time to move on.

Just my 2 cents. If we win convincingly this week I'll be back on the playoffs bandwagon so take it for what it's worth, lol.
