If only they'd coach like that all the time. Teams want to blitz the **** out of Cam, have him run it.

This year aside (too early to tell), the drafting has been terrible overall (we get almost no production aside from the first rounders).

But don't overthink it. Rivera is garbage.
I agree the 2-15 in close games is bad..but ALL the blame shouldnt be placed on him. How many of those were because the defense totally blew it or because Cam couldn't convert. Im not saying hes a great coach…I'm just saying I'm not sure hes a awful coach or not. He was given arguably the worst team in the best division and expected to to do big things. Aside from first round picks, the rest of the are toss ups, once in a while you get one that turns out to be decent. I understand someone has to be the scapegoat though and thats part of the game.

You're absolutely right that he was given a pretty terrible team, and Marty Hurney really phucked him over with his terrible signings and poor drafting (outside the first round). They're in trouble with the cap for like 2 more years. And there were definitely some things that weren't his fault (Nakamura absolutely phucking up in the Atlanta game for example). But he's still a terrible coach. He makes the same mistakes over and over.

holy chit…ive never seen a beatdown that bad in the history of me watching sports. Our defense was relentless and our offense looked so good. These are the panthers weve all been waiting for.

38-0 .. its so hard to SHUT teams out, let along beat them by 38 points..

Words can't even express how happy I was we returned the favor for last year's week 3 embarrassment! Loved seeing Cam get out and run today, and as always I love seeing D-Will have success. I think our offense is gonna be really dangerous this year once we get Barner and Stewy back in the mix.

I honestly see no reason why we shouldn't win our next 4 games if we can keep our act together. And we always play strong against ATL/NO. I dunno boys…we could have a winning record this year, i would settle for that.

It's amazing how good this team can be when the coaches get their heads outta their asses. This is the play calling/coaching I saw in week 1, with much better execution(and a much weaker opponent haha).

I still don't like Rivera but a few more well coached games like today and ill cut him some slack.

What a fukin win, though. Feels so good. Looking ahead, I know we've got 6 left vs the division, then 3 more NFC west(49ers not looking invincible and the Rams/Cards are winnable games), and then 3 against Miami/NE/NYJ(? I think). Schedule certainly isn't easy by any means but I think we can hang with any team. As I said in a post before; a convincing win tonight puts me right back onto the playoff bandwagon.

Inb4 Rivera goes full potato again next game and it's all doom/gloom again.

All that said.. great, great game. Bummed its a bye week, but going into the bye with a win like today is really good for the players IMO.

Just wanted to give this thread a solid bump after a bye week.

To be honest, I think this bye week was of absolute horrible timing. The Giants are obviously not good, but blowing out that team was the confidence boost the Panthers needed because they needed some form of proof to show they could win with the way they lost those 2 previous games. A game this past weekend wouldve been super beneficial.

However, if we are to charge into the playoff hunt, NOW is the time to do it…

@ Arizona
@ Minnesota
Home vs. St. Louis
@ Tampa

We can very easily go 4-0 during this stretch, putting us @ 5-2 on the season.

In fact, to be quite honest with you…if we don't come out of that stretch with at least a .500 record, Rivera should be canned regardless of how we finish the season.

It was such a confidence boost to blow out the Giants, but the absolute worst part of that blow out could be the possibly restored confidence in Rivera. The Giants win should be flushed down the toilet if the Panthers lose to Arizona, and Rivera should only keep is job if he gets the Panthers to make a huge run during this very easy stretch of the season.

Cardinals traded their LT to the Steelers today. they must have a death wish for Carson Palmer. the Kraken is about to annihilate him on Sunday.

definitely going to the next home game against the Rams. went tailgating for the Giants game and it was so awesome watching all of that NYG blue strolling down Graham St. away from the stadium while the game was still going on!!

Charlotte is full of New Yorkers, Ohioans, New Jersiers, etc nowadays. It was awesome seeing the Giants get destroyed by us, and then going out to eat right after, with dudes decked out in Giants gear, sad as ****.
