wtf? how much math have you taken? you realize the algebra used in algebraic geometry is not high school algebra, it's abstract algebra

your posts are giving me aids, but i'm going to make myself feel better by deciding you're a troll

anyways on thread topic: hardest class for me was an algebras class covering homological algebra, commutative algebra and some algebraic geometry, among other things

Well you know what they say, the obvious trolls are the ones that aren't trolls and the best trolls are subtle. Which is why it's pretty obvious you're the one subtle trolling here. "homo"logical algebra? Come on bro I wasn't born yesterday.

Algebra and geometry are two separate subjects, everyone knows that even though I don't really recall since that was a long time ago. I think they both had shapes and symbols but not quite the same thing.

Partial differential equations. I took like 3/4 of a math degree and that was the only hard math course.

Calculus 1.

Nowadays, a lot of STEM majors require you to do an applications/survey class of calculus 1, instead of actual calculus 1. I have never used it in my life.

I am a measely natty sci twink, but here goes nothing:
Calculus 1: Introduction to Limits, Derivatives, Integrals, and related rates.
Calculus 2: Sequences and series, and integration?
Calculus 3: Multivariable calculus, or essentially a repeat of calculus 1 with another variable.

Maybe I'm wrong. Lick my nipples.

Real Analysis maybe....idk

Think I have harder proofs in my Biostatistics classes though, but it's not pure mathematics

This.

Maybe it's more intuitve for a small % of sudents, but it's a chitload less intuitive and harder than derivitaves for most. There are tough derivatives, but you can almost always tell which differentiation method to use. In integration, sometimes you'll have no idea where to even begin.

1. Derivatives of single variable functions ie f(x)->f'(x)
2. Integrals of single variable functions ie f(x)->F(x)
3. Derivatives and integrals of multivariable functions ie f(x,y)->f'(x,y) and f(x,y)->F(x,y)

more or less.

Prove it then.

Either by induction or contradiction.

Probably Linear Algebra 2, a lot of really abstract proofs.
