I like OBVIOUS and NEW investments. The best filter for a NEW company is that the founder is the standing CEO. If that variable is met, it seems like everything else takes care of itself. Don't believe me? Go look at the top 20 largest companies and have a gander at the founder/CEO.

I will sell if it hits my target of 35.00 and 100.00. It's only a matter of time too. Maybe it will take the rest of my life time to get there? Who knows!

INTC has been holding AMD down for so so so so long. Happy to be on dis train!

OP i got in slightly before you and up 95% so far in my IRA. Saw the train right as Ryzen came out and hopped on board CHOO CHOO!!

I expect it to level out now until they show quarter over quarter profit growth since all these gains are speculation only. Now they need to prove the value

it's worth noting that if INTC can drop to 2009 levels-- I will take everything from AMD and put it back into INTC.

they've been on the exchange before but they changed over to otello. doubt anything will come of it. hard to see an internet browsing company generate revenue.. unless they are somehow partnered with an entity that sells their software along with other products and services.

in respect to your comment about AMD-- i suspect it will be in the $25.00 range for awhile-- until it hits $100+ a share.

Hope it works out for you dude. I quit buying single stocks after i lost my arse on GE and KMI. I only buy ETF's now. You won't get rich quick, but you'll build wealth steadily without a ton of risk.

you are a smart man -- i bit on GE and sold at a loss right away. I only play a few undervalued stocks and mainly stick with mutual funds/etfs. very conservative until i see an opportunity like AMD.

Hopefully AMD's 7nm CPUs beats out Intel's 10nm CPUs. I'm reading that the AMD 7nm CPU should be out at the end of this year and Intel's 9th gen still will be 14nm. If that's the case AMD will gain a significant market share for the first time

And hopefully AMD's 7nm GPUs can compete with the 20xx series, or even beat them

If either of those happen, their stock is going up another 50%

there were talks of it being pushed to either quarter 1 or 2 of 2019. Not sure how accurate that report was but they should be pushing for the EOY.

A lot of room for growth with this company and I suspect that this 50 year old chip maker will be a great one for years to come.

The biggest thing I look at is trading history, future demand/need/want and financial information. I do so much DD because I cannot trust what anyone says.. especially when it comes to MY money. I'm conservative at heart but love the LOTTERY tickets.

AMD - lower end chip maker--- fantastic market for budget gamers, pc users and data centers. their GPU sector will be entrenched in the upcoming sony playstation 5 console (NAVI technology) and other VR/mobile projects. It has been said the NAVI/PS5 project is a rumor- but the information released is very credible and reliable. A lot more of AMD's road map can be found here:http://ir.amd.com/static-files/a6312...f-54c24dcfa808Not much provided but you can do some digging on each topic and formulate your own opinion.

Sounds like you wanted to pull the trigger way back when... there's still plenty of time... it's only 2018.... think about 2025, or 2030. Forward thinking: D

Just invest what you can afford. Use stops as well -- i have stops at 13.78 and at 21.89

OP I invested in AMD when it was like 3 dollars per stock a few years back. I highly doubt it's going to reach $100, ever. Good chance to hit 40-50 tho.
