I guess I'm not understanding why everyone is on the cop's ass. The cop was all cool and the gang and said he really didn't care about the weed. The driver could have either not had the weed or just listen to the cop. I'd really like to know more about the driver and what happened after this. I'm seriously surprised at the amount of people that smoke and/or support the use of weed so much. The sht just dumbs you down.

Watched the video and didn't just skip right to the 8 minute mark.
1) The guy is SUPER nervous and glassy eyed when the cop walks up.
2) Find out it is just about tint and relaxes.
3) Cop and guy have friendly banter for 6 minutes
4) Cop smells weed and even tells the guy that if it is just for personal use he doesn't give a crap
5) Guy starts freaking out at the thought of the cop searching his car
** Criminals with warrants, massive amounts of drugs, illegal guns, dead bodies in trunks often act this way. Normal people with a roach in the ash tray generally do not.**

6) Cop pleads with guy to settle down, guy is freaking out

9) Guy grabs for the cops fcking gun!?!? I read the whole thread before watching the video and I'm absolutely blown away that people are defending the criminal in any way. The end is rough but give me a break. This is the epitome of "play stupid games, win stupid prizes." Guy has drugs and a gun in the car and didn't want to get busted again and acted in a horrible way.

Cops are doing a job and are not robotic embodiments of the American legal system. They should have better than a 50/50 chance of making it home to their families at the end of the day.

He was either hiding from a felony warrant, had a big bag of drugs, or was a gang banger/drug dealer with an illegal weapon. No one is going to cop a felony fleeing and eluding charge unless they have something a lot bigger to hide.

Homie wanted to get away from the cop and ditch the gun before they could catch him again. If he's a felon with an illegal gun that's probably 5-10 years right there. So I watched the video, and based off what came to light, if there really was a stolen gun in there seems he started to panic when he realized the officer might find it. He ****ed up by not listening when he told him to not turn off the engine, cop got sus and then took things to 11. Thing is that cops are trained to not take chances, they'll just ****ing kill you if they feel threatened, so even if there wasn't a gun in there, just based off of what happened he'd just have to use the "i feared for my life" get out of jail free card and he'd be golden

Way to pick and choose what you want to pay attention to. The cop said he didn't even care about personal use weed. That doesn't mean he doesn't have a suspicion at this point and want to search the car. Also, nobody says driving while under the influence of alcohol isn't a problem and weed can lead to the same problems.

I’m not concerned about why he did it nor am I in the position to guess. The people that run their mouths about cops and about how they react in the moment have no clue and would lose their sh!t in the face a small altercation much less handling this type of thing.

Why would a person that was just being questioned about weed, knowing it doesn’t carry more than a misdemeanor charge, floor it and take off? Any chance he was hiding something much worse? Nooooooo...not possible.

Looked like he was standing on the step of the truck when it took off. Not to mention the fact that the dude already tried to grab the officers gun and was lunging out the window grabbing onto him. After that point the car was already moving at a good clip and jumping off onto the pavement is gonna get you fuked up or run over by the car behind


He's honestly lucky he didn't get smoked the second he tried to reach for the officers gun. But the moron had to go and push his luck and take off a second time.

Nah just let 14-felony guys with illegal firearms in their car free and tearing away from a traffic stop. You’ll catch him again later and certain he won’t break any other laws or commit others crimes in the process...no that makes total sense.

Cops do that for two reasons.

1. Most NORMAL people aren't going to flee with a cop hanging off the side of their car.

2. In those cases where someone does try to flee by running over the cop these cops are almost always cleared of any wrongdoing when they aerate said dumbass with their service weapon.

So first it's to stop you from fleeing and 2nd its a CYA for when they give you the lead poisoning.
