1) Studies on IFR vary. We conduct meta analyses for this reason, to accurately estimate the value across the given literature and from many countries. The lowest estimate that I’m aware of, from any meta analysis was ~ 0.25. from Ioannidis. That was not for the “very obese.” That was for everyone infected across dozens of nations. Other meta analyses from generally the same time period are in the range of 0.4 - 0.7. So even if we’re conservative and go with the lowest estimate, it’s higher than what you’re suggesting.
2) We now know that those IFR estimates were based on undercounted death tallies, by a lot. They were using official death counts from countries that were underreporting C19 deaths. Nations like Russia had excess deaths that were 3x higher than their official C19 counts. (They ended up bumping up their official count somewhat). India is another example where there was a huge discrepancy. It’s also highly suspicious that estimates from China, which were incorporated into these analyses and lowered the final estimate, happened to be lower than nearly all other countries.
Based on excess deaths, global death count is probably already > 15 million.
3) Those estimates for IFR came from WH period. You are simply wrong about the relative virulence. The variants of concern that came after WH virus were significantly more likely to lead to hospitalization, ICU admission, and death. Again, this is a collection of studies painting a very clear picture.
https://www.frontiersin.org/articles...21.775224/full
In fact, since that was published, there have been 3 more papers demonstrating that Delta was more virulent than even Alpha.
All this considered, it is absolutely not a stretch to say that global deaths could have hit 50+ million had we let the virus run rampant and with no vaccines.
I won’t even get into your misunderstanding of Omicron’s virulence.

just lmao.
Time to get the booster boyo or else you might get more sick and have to try another Pfizer product like remdesvir.

meanwhile, in real life, all cause mortality NOT FROM COVID had reached all time highs after the jabs were introduced, and most countries (except the USA) moved to prevent young males from receiving Moderna's booster..... but CNN says it's ALL GOOD, so I believe that.
also, the #1 and #2 people in the FDA for vaccine safety RESIGNED over this.... but CNN doesn't acknowledge that, so I don't know anything about it.

How is the vaccine pointless if it reduces severe illness and death? How is it pointless if it reduces how long people are contagious? Vaccines are a useful public health tool. The whole anti-vax hysteria is a tirade against medical science. It's the revenge of billy bob the chitter who failed out of biology. That's literally all this is. And it's dumb.

- Tedros of the W.H.O in early 2020 compared theCASEfatality rate of Covid (3.4%) to theINFECTIONfatality rate of the flu (0.2%) to stir up panic. These are the people we are supposed to trust?
- The latest booster has been approved by the FDA after a study conducted on 8 mice.
- PCR tests (Polymerase Chain Reaction) have been used to count case numbers. The inventor of the PCR test Kary Mullis has said they should never be used as a diagnostic tool because the test was too inaccurate. Furthermore, any cycle threshold above 35 was useless because it amplified parts of the virus by up to a billion - you are basically measuring dead nucleotides. Yet this was used as the "gold standard" for covid, even if people who tested positive had no symptoms.
- Deaths from covid - anyone testing positive within 28 days of death (using the aforementioned faulty PCR tests) were classed as a covid death. A motorcycle death was classed as a covid death in New Zealand.
- Hospitalisations for covid - again, anyone testing positive for covid in hospital was in many instances classed as a covid hospitalisation.
The whole system is a corrupt disgrace, it needs to be burned to the ground. The FDA and CDC have been completely captured by the industry, and the regulators have obscene conflicts of interest.
Makes me so fukn angry that this industry has caused so much death and destruction over the last two years and people still trust them.
