Assuming a standard Olympic barbell, 45lbs, you'd need 26 45lbs plates, 2 10lbs plates, 2 5lbs plates, and 2 1.5lbs plates.
Let me not even mention that 26 standard 45lbs plates would not fit on a standard barbell, let alone the 10, 5, and 1.5lbs plates.
Lastly, what gym has 1.5lbs plates? I only know of one, E-Statters, located in this guy's fantasies.

Yeah, this was the main concept. "Tour of the history of boomers." Inserting Forrest convincingly into these events was also a CGI breakthrough. This was right after Jurassic Park, so CGI took a major leap forward. We take it for granted now but watching it as a kid in the theater it was cool to see. I think the film speaks more to boomers who actually lived through and experienced these events, like Leo, and it was one that really played on the nostalgia factor.
