And this. It's a sort of tour of the history of a generation of people. A good chunk of it predates me personally, but would have been true for my parents and their friends. Loads of nostalgia.

At least Forrest displays some admirable traits.

- loyalty
- perseverance
- humility
- generosity
- bravery
- determination
- kindness

Despite the hand he is dealt and the events that he endures Forrest lives an honorable life.

In the 90s there was a "you're blessed if you are a retard" trend.

I will never forget this stupid movie with Harrison Ford called Regarding Henry and he was a fairly intense lawyer who was really good at his job. He then got shot in the head and became a retard and ONLY THEN did his life improve!

There were many "smart retard" shows and movies.

Forrest Gump was supposed to be an angelically blessed retard who does amazing things. In reality, smart people do amazing things because they have ethics, codes of honor, and stuff like that. Retards don't save people in wars and start shrimp companies and they don't stick with loved one unconditionally, only a man of great honor does that and retards don't have honor.

If you look at the scenes, bad people are chasing a kid with big braces on his legs, then RIGHT WHEN HE NEEDS IT, he's cured and the braces magically fall apart while he is running at SUPER SPEED.

Forrest has super speed and accuracy during the movie, which is how he wins at ping pong too.

How can you watch the movie and not see that?

CGI was used to make the ping pong scenes for comedy purposes and to show that Forrest has super powers.

Forrest was not a simp.

He had the kid of love that god would have for people.

He wasn't showering Jenny with gifts, etc he was just always there for Jenny through life and then at her death so he was an everpresent figure like god is supposed to be or a guardian angel.

Forrest wasn't looking for anything from Jenny he was interested in giving her what is free.

You make some insightful posts from time to time, but I find it incredible that someone claiming to be a mental health professional would equate all neurodiversity [autism, ADHD] with intellectual disability [ID].
