How much of the new wealth created in the past 50 years has enriched the average person, and how much of it has padded the pockets of a tiny few?

Why does a corporate CEO now earn 1000x the average employee when 50 years ago it was 100x (already a ridiculous disparity). Do they work 10x harder than they did before?

Current tax bracket is 12% for $11k+, 22% for $45k+, 24% for $95k+, 32% for $182k+, and 35% for $231k+. Instead it should pull from the super wealthy more IMO.

I propose adding a higher tax level, and being kinder to the lower earners, like the following: 10% for $15k+, 15% for $50k+, 20% for say $89k+ (median income), 25% for $150k+, 35% for $300k+, and 45% for $2m+.
The ultra rich don't have income though. Income = tax.

If you want it to be fair, there should be higher tax on things like private jet gas, or means tested - so taxation is a proportion of your networth/assets/house value.

It should be illegal to be poor and be put to death. The poor don’t help society, they just take.

Sounds like a good point. But capital gain is self-adjusting, like passive income of any kind, free market tend to fix everything. For one, compound interest from 10% capital gain would take insanely long time to grow, for normal people who can't invest large sum initially. You would need to move your capital continually and do a good market research to keep it at such high gain of 10%. It is more like 4%, and even then, there is depreciation and appreciation, which could wipe out large portion of your capital. From what I can see, it takes more than one generation of accumulation of compound interest, to make it interesting.

What it means - you will see life going-by, while waiting for fruit of your investment income. It is not for everybody, and whoever got that far totally deserve it. Their money were not earning interest for nothing, they were and still are moving the economy. Let those people roll in cash as long as they keep their capital fully invested.

People who fantasize about dictatorships always picture themselves in positions of power.

It's the same with those who preach about communism, they always see themselves as the one who's at the top, someone important, not the person who is slaving away in a factory, living in a project like building with one bathroom per floor.
