The only thing that makes gaming amazing right now is the ease of access to retro gaming, and how much great stuff there is out there that the best games of today have built off of.

Once Bonnie Ross was fired and new management took over at 343, the game has seen a steady stream of content, and it's a fantastic play.

I hope to see Infinite launch on PS5 and switch 2 with cross play, it will breathe new life into the playerbase.
Dude Halo Infinite was awesome on day 1. There has never been anything wrong with it lol. The "it doesn't have enough content" was just propaganda from jealous sonycels.

Well just look at their complete 180 with Sea of Thieves. They relentlessly hated on the game, and now they're setting a record in pre-sales because they are so excited to finally be able to play it.

Sony's fanbase is so odd lol.

surprisingly accurate post from you TBH.

For me personally infinite had the best mechanics since halo 3, but I barely played 4, and didn't play 5.

The hot launch just had zero follow up for so long, and without forge people couldn't create their own stuff to keep them busy. I got bored and just eventually me and all my friends went back to what we were playing prior to halo.

It never really won over the hearts of streamers either, which is fairly important these days sadly. Big streamers can bring tons of player base to your game, and people didn't like to stream halo because its too fast paced and nearly impossible to keep up with any kind of chat while playing. Unlike games like battle royals, where there's lots of down time be it slow looting or in between fighting, making it much more engaging for streamers and their audiences while they play.

Sni****wn the famous pro player left apex to go back to halo when it launched and he regretted it a ton. Lost so many viewers because he couldn't engage with his audience and halo was dying so fast. He got out of his contract to go back to apex after 1 year.

That's the thing, it's pretty easy for people to list off their top games right now because there is only so much they could reference.
And yet neither of you will even list games by name.

There is no retelling of history about infinite, maybe you just weren't paying attention, but the combat / core mechanics of infinite are not like Bungie Halo, lol. It's not even like Reach. infinite and Halo 3 are not even in the same realm. I can post video essay after video essay that can explain all of this a lot better than I would on this sub forum if you'd like. These are completely different games / franchises from Bungie to 343. The core Halo fanbase / user base was gone via mass exodus a long time ago.

If you enjoy it, I'm happy for you, but the franchise is a rotting corpse and infinite was / is basically DOA.

As for infinite on PS5 and Switch two, your statement is actually in agreement with what I've been telling you. Ironic. It's a lifeless, dead franchise and game and it desperately needs new logins from other consoles to boost the numbers.

Thanks for also confirming a previous post of mine, although you're referencing apex instead of fortnite.

There's a reason why the majority don't give a sh!t about Halo anymore, infinite sucks. If a minority disagrees with that, I'm not losing sleep over it, but the franchise is over. 343's games were made to cater to BKs.

Yeahhh the franchise is kinda beat now.

Pretty much all shooters have made their games easier since fortnite.

Fortnite was one of the first shooters to basically say, "**** competitive, we are strictly updating for pub and casual players" and with their massive success, other games have followed.

Unfortunately, it's really what they have to do. Most people just don't have time to be sweat lords, and they need to make the game appealing to the casual fanbase if they really want to make money. There's no other way around it.

Call of duty, battlefield, halo, apex, Pubg, literally every shooter that isnt 100 percent competitive focused or a milsim(valorant, counter strike) is basically making itself dumber and easier for the masses to play pub matches casually.

Sbmm and matchmaking has been turned into a science for these companies to maximize their players engagements and keep you drooling into the screen like a zombie

Well said, that's why these franchises are not ever going to come back, it's basically a fast food business recipe now. Zombify the user base, keep charging them for stuff like changing a character's armor color, etc., profit, rinse and repeat. The true competitive nature of Halo, for instance, is out the door. I remember watching a bullet magnetism video for the 343 Halo games and you don't even need to snipe an enemy's head for a head shot anymore. Halo 4's binary rifle was a joke, one shot anywhere on the body for BKs who can't aim lol. In H4 there was a time you could just stand there doing nothing and you could eventually get the binary rifle as a drop. Could go on and on, but you already understand this.

The amount of quality in my steam library is absolutely filthy. I get the criticism on woke AAA chit but the amount of quality chit out there is unrivaled man.
