the white male surgeon will be ok.
if competent they will be treated like Rockstar's no matter what hospital they end up as.
its just that some places are known to have the best of the best but this place has the best of the best of a certain demographic it seems.
i can only assume the Asian dude was off the charts and those making decisions feared the parents who are probably watching every surgery to make sure he doesn't screw up.
he deserves to be there.

Asians > White/Indian > everyone else
Male > Female
that asian dude probably grinded the fuk out of it being the only guy there
that's why i always choose male for all my services if i had a choice and i suggest you do the same. chef, tailor, doctor, barber, dentist, physio or podiatrist etc.

It's hard for me to tell if women are actually diversity hires in medicine. My sister got into a competitive program but she was no slouch.. extremely high GPA, high test scores, etc. She worked her ass off in school too.
Some of her friends though, failed the exams once or more times. Can't tell how they got in but they had good credentials as well.
I think it's simply that med school doesn't require as much intellectual capability as previously thought, and that's why more women/minorities are being admitted. It's the difference between someone with a 4.5GPA and 4.2. I don't think they let in 3.5s for example.

sloots are good at academia and passing exams
but there is a difference between studying and being able to work 60 hour weeks and hour long surgeries. that's where men come in

i said "yo" then she proceeded to fail to take the rider out of reverse because she panicked and just kept ramming my car while saying "I didn't hit your car" each time she hit the car until i ran over and turned off the mower.
it was a 1975 POS buick Skyhawk but it didn't have a craftsmen sized dent in the quarter panel an hr before….grrr…still irks me 30yrs later. lol
my sister has also totaled more cars than the last nascar season and her current car's back end is crunched from backing into a light pole at night.
so i agree with this.
they are good at tests.
bad with the real world.

There are portable MRI machines barely bigger than a suitcase. Appropriate for most MRI scans and cost like 1/50th as much as standard MRI machines, not to mention the convenience. I give it another 30 years until they're approved for wide use.
Joke is on them, most surgeries will be done with laparoscopic miniature AI robots pretty soon and they'll be stuck with yuge debt and no jobs.

I can almost guarantee everyone in that pic pretty much IQ mogs the fuk out of everyone on this board, except the mathematicians and physicists of course.
The bigotry n this board is really hilarious. You guys see some blacks and women and assume "diversity hire". I guarantee you everyone on that list earned their spot.

Lets be reality, these women are only going to do operations that men invented and perfected.
Women only go into fields where there is little to no risk involved.

The avg mcat is top 15 in country. That is a metric that can't be juked. Do you not understand also that I can't literally measure the IQs of the poster here so i'm making a reasonable guess based off conjecture?
Honestly, I'm not even sure what your point is what you're arguing about

only that you can pass every test 100% but fail with interacting with the real world.
when you repeatedly pull in front of people who have the right of way and get t-boned you really have to wonder WTF?!?!?

Average MCAT score for Stanford is top 15 in the country. Cant fake a 520. Even if they gave preferences to women and minorities they were still highly qualified and extremely intelligent. No one is walking in there with a 2.8 GPA and 490 MCAT. If you're worried about who your doctor is, I wouldn't worry about a woman from Stanford. They guy from the El Paso Medical College is who you should worry about.
Programs like Stanford are very white collar and the residents often don't even operate as much as residents at "lower-tier" programs like El Paso. Experience is the number one thing you want in a surgeon.
Regarding Stanfords match, it's disgusting… it's active discrimination against men and not based on merit… you can compare the applications in competitive fields pushing for DEI (not just gen surg, but also Urology, Ortho, NSG, Rads, etc) and see that female applicants in general have less scores, less publications, less everything…

They are the absolute worst software developers. Would rather work with a Pajeet that barely speaks English than a top MIT female grad.
This is no hate on women. The medical field requires soft skills and analysis, which women excel in. They just fooking suck with logic.
