Will be interesting to see how our defense holds up against the 1st "elite" QB we will be facing thus far with Brady. As long as we can get a steady pass rush like usual, we should come out with a W. Stoked that this big of a game is on Monday Night Football for the whole country to see. Cam will have to play a lot better and our wr will have to make more plays for us. After watching the gm yesterday, I sort of wish we would have made a trade for Nicks… Oh well

You missed u fumble twice in that last minute… watching it live almost stroked us all out.
with this paragraph:
Carolina, meanwhile, had battled bravely in San Francisco after going down 9-0; the game's lone touchdown and a fourth-quarter field goal from Graham Gano had been enough to narrowly push Carolina into the lead, 10-9. The Panthers took over with 2:27 left and the ball on their own 32-yard line, likely needing two first downs to win the game without having to punt and turn the ball over to their defense for a stop. They got one on a breathless third-down pass to Steve Smith. Then, the butterflies seemed to set in. Jonathan Stewart fumbled on first down, only for the indefatigable Mike Tolbert to come out of the pile with the ball. Two plays later, facing third-and-2 and seemingly setting up for a referendum on Riverboat Ron Rivera's newfound faith with a possible fourth-and-short, the Panthers stayed sloppy, with star center Ryan Kalil and Newton failing to complete the snap. The Panthers were again fortunate to recover, but now they would have to punt.
My question is: Why was Stewart in over Williams at the end of the game?

I'd take WR Marquise Lee/Jordan Matthews, TE Eric Ebron, CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu/Jason Verrett or OT Cyrus Kouandjio in the 1st.

Stewart is better at between the tackle runs.
Plus, final rushing stats from the game:
Carolina Rushing
CAR YDS AVG TD LG
D. Williams 8 46 5.8 1 27
J. Stewart 13 41 3.2 0 7
C. Newton 7 17 2.4 0 6
M. Tolbert 2 7 3.5 0 4
Team 30 111 3.7 1 27
We had a BJGE over Gio situation yesterday. Or Mendenhall over Ellington.

Jaws was just on NFL Live saying how he was really impressed at how Cam stepped up late in that game. I know his overall numbers weren't much of anything but minus the drops they wouldn't have been so bad. He completed several 3rd downs late and kept the ball moving despite having pressure on most of his drop backs. It's baby steps but for a guy that's not been a QB in a legit system but for basically two and a half years he's showing progress. If we can beat SF I know we can handle NE. NE has a worse line and Brady is less mobile. Gronk is gonna be a problem but the we're primed to take the big stage and make it happen, I hope.

Despite not playing well the past 2 games, Cam sucked it up and moved on immediately. He didn't dwell on anything and got better as the game went on.

Flew southwest to Vegas for wedding and was scared I would miss game. Had iPad and Sunday ticket ready for coverage and my cam jersey. I am one of the last to board plane so I get stuck in middle seat. To my left is an old woman and to my right is a big black dude who bertstared the chit out of me when I sat down. He then told me he was a sergeant major in the USMC and was going back home for a few weeks. Game kicks off and I quickly find out he is from SF. Not going to lie I was intimidated as fuk. He took the loss better than I would

Kinda off-topic from the win, but bc I'm bored and wanted to look up more up Gettleman/what he has done for us/etc.. it looks like as it stands right now, we only have about $110m dollars committed towards the 2014 cap(guessing the cap will remain about the same at $124'ish million).
That's HUGE considering that we came into last year what, $10+ million OVER the cap?
Gettleman is a fuking wizard.

Maybe sign one of the big time FA WR's(not that there are any significant names out there outside of Nicks..), OL, etc..

Apparently on NBC Sports Eric Kuselias, Scott Pioli, and Rodney Harrison all said that there will be future problems in Carolina because Cam won't be able to share the spotlight with Carolina's defense. They said "he can't handle playing second fiddle to that defense" and "his immaturity is going to cause problems"
UHHHHHHHHHHHH DA FUK? That is literally the dumbest thing I've ever seen any national media outlet say about the Panthers(srs)
Side note - what the **** did Carolina do to the national media to make them hate us so much? As a team we've dealt with so much bullshiit in the past 5 years(in terms of constant failure by the team and disappointment from the fans). I know I should focus on the team winning and ignore these shiitheads but dammit it rustles my jimmies.

I didnt see what you're talking about on NBC, but how the fuk would anyone know how any other person is going to act at any given time? Pretty irresponsible, but it does come from NBC networks so it's no surprise they're trying to stir the pot.

for real though, about where would you rank him among currently active interior linemen now that Atkins is done for the year?
I haven't seen an interior presence like this from Carolina since Kris Jenkins. I know I say that all the damn time but when an interior linemen has arguably been your teams biggest hole for 4-5+ seasons you tend to overreact when you finally fill that void.

We made an EXTREME weakness into a strength with one draft. Pretty legit if I do say so myself. Granted the Star pick was a no brainer but I'll take 'em however we can get 'em.

Rodney Harrison is a biased moron and has no business talking about sports on TV. I couldn't stand him when he played and i hate him even more now that we have to listen to his f*cking stupid opinion every Sunday night…putting him next to GOATy Dungy is offensive, I would be insulted if I were Dungy.
He hates Carolina for some reason who knows why, Smith probably stiff armed him like a little bitch at some point and he is still butthurt.

Also regarding the draft, sammy watkins will not be there when we pick. I think we should take a Oline first if we cant get one of the top receivers. Any big name receivers coming into free agents this offseason?
