Seems to be alot of "experts" in here on the requirements of what it takes to be an entrepreneur. There is also people claiming to be entrepreneurs when in fact they are simply self employed.
My issues and what I feel many others issues are, particularly in online marketing; is going from one thing to the next without seeing each project through.
I also don't hustle enough / spend enough time working on it.
I'll be happy to die knowing that I tried instead being satisfied with a life of normality and predictability

Entrepreneurship isn't for everyone, but I think EVERYONE can benefit from having some kind of side hustle. All it takes is some research. Everything can be learned online and it could change your life.

Honestly, it is a sorry ass individual that will try to talk you out of starting your own business.
Yes, high chance of failure even if you do everything right. But, you learn, then pick your ass up and try again.
Yes, if you are doing it just for the prospect of money, you are most likely going to fail hard. Every business owner I know started their bidness because they wanted to make money and they LOVED what they were doing.
No, it wont be easy, but what is?
If you have the kind of mentality that is pushing you to start your own business, then most likely you will not be happy working for another business.
I, personally, do not have the drive or mentality to want to put myself through it. Plus, I have absolutely zero viable ideas for a business of my own, so that pretty much nixes my chances. Add all that to the fact that I wouldnt be taking on the risk by myself(got me a couple of chimps) and I am out of the entrepreneur game

Had a few other ventures as well, and will have more soon as well - but none as successful.
As I mentioned, real estate is what I want to get into as well.....just need to find the right people - not easy man.

That said don't be a fool about it, I know one guy who made millions playing pro poker and blew it all on worthless property investment. 10 years later he's just starting to break 6 figs again after years of poverty living.

take it from an entrepreneur, it is the most stressful thing on earth. you never realize what kind of expenses your boss has to deal with until you are set to deal with them.
i would rather take a salaried job making half what I make now knowing i can leave my office at 5pm and not give a sh*t what happens after i step out. now i am on constant alert and even though i have no real "boss" , my customers are my boss. the irs is my boss, bill collectors, manufacturers and everything else are my boss.
it blows. but on the bright side i buy things that i never thought i could afford 10 years ago

A lot of haters & people always say to never start a business because it will fail...etc...etc. If everyone listened to these haters we would never see anything new or innovative & would have no competition and competition is good for the consumer.
You touched a good point I can relate to, I never ever EVER want to work for other people it truly makes me sick the thought of doing this the rest of my life I think many other successful people feel the same way and that is a lot of motivation & drive. My goal is to have my own business & be happy if I become rich then so be it but that is not my goal for this business or even my goal in life.

We are talking about slightly bigger money than in your example. That and the fact I know very little about real estate plus have limited time/desire to learn. I simply can get better returns investing into myself. Can't say I understand this mentality coming from someone with a successful business. I do however recognize that long term real estate is a better investment, hence trying to get into it a bit.

entrepreneur crew checking in
those that are hating on OP don't have what it takes to make it anyway
If you own a brick and mortar business you probably cannot scale it, so for those that tried that path and criticize op, you owned a job not a business
Businesses make money without you working, you invest the time to develop the product, course/program etc and scale it through marketing, currently have 2 companies making 5 digits a month.
Cheers to those that never gave up, we're all gonna make it eventually (keyword: eventual)

Congrats if you are pulling in 7 figures residual annually but that still doesnt mean you should let off the gas.
I dont believe you have made it to that point else you wouldnt be bragging about making $5k on a nflx stock in a week as that would be peanuts to you.

People don't realize how much time it takes and the amount of dedication and will power because someone isn't telling you how or when to work or do it. It took me 2 years of 2-6 hours of sleep and a shiiiiit ton of failed ideas/sites before I started making money. 4+ years to pulling in very good $$$$$$ for the main fact that those million failures I had, I now know what works for me. Although I am constantly adjusting and building my ventures.

Entrepreneur checking in.
Was making $350+ a day (profits) just a couple months ago, today its more like $60-$90. That is the reality you have to accept as an entrepreneur, the stability and safety is not there of some 9-5's. Though you could argue that anyone could get fired, any company could go under, anything could happen to anyone, so really there is no "safety" even in 9-5's.
Overall I love this lifestyle. I make my own hours. I only actually work 10 hours a week. 90% of the work I outsource to people in the philippines. Since it is an online business, I can work from anywhere, last month i spent a few weeks living and working from a caye off the coast of Belize, just because. For me, the real beauty of being an entrepreneur is the freedom it affords me. I can do what I want, when I want, and do not have to answer to a boss.
The two most important things that have helped me find the small success i've had is having the right mindset and finding a mentor. I've had two really great mentors that have fast tracked me to success. Without them, and without the right mindset I would probably have made nothing.
Edit: All these people talking about the time and dedication it takes to be a successful entrepreneur are brainwashed. Think about how much time and dedication it takes to be a doctor, lawyer, engineer, anything decent paying and respectable in society. Typically it takes 4-8 years of working your ass off studying and going into debt, just to get your foot in the door. I started my online business in March, by June i was making $8,000 in profits per month. Next month I could be making $20,000 you never know. If you know what you are doing, do your research, it is possible to make thousands over night.

Op a better idea would be to get a good paying degree and entrepreneur on the side in your spare time.
Don't build into a business unless it's passive income. There's really no incentive to having your own business unless it's passive income

Hypocritical because essentially I am an entrep - but what I hate about it;
Income isnt fixed and guaranteed.
Nobody to bail you out or cry to if things dont go your way
Income can be SKY HIGH, or very low - especially in uncertain industries
High stress
All start ups require almost no social life/lack of time
Could wake up one day and all your profits are 0 for whatever reason.
Sometimes I really wouldnt mind a nice cushty 8-6, high salary job with dental/healthcare insurance company car, pension etc.

Instead of creating a 'revolutionary' company in a most likely already over-saturated niche market, focus your 'entrepreneurship' skills in markets that are currently proven to give you profit in your area. Research well on the market and predict the future. Thats what real entrepreneurship should be.

In order for few to succeed many have to fail. We not "all gonna make it". No matter how good your attitude is, no matter "how positive" you think about it. Too many people are being called out itt for "peasant mindset" for being realistic. Too many guys who make a few bucks now think this is gonna last and they will put this on "autopilot" etc. Most will realize rather fast how wrong they were. Bottom line is if you questioning the idea of opening your own business - you most likely will not make it. You should be questioning "how" to make a business that works, rather then "if" you should "get into" it.

I've known since I was a kid that I would never be happy if I had to work for someone else. I guess it comes down to, I hate being told what to do. It irritates me down to my soul that I don't have the freedom to do what I want to do with my life.
Sure as fuk isn't spending 5/7ths of my life running on a hamster wheel so I can stuff someone elses pockets with my efforts.

As someone thats been on the the grind on both sides, I can say that both sides have their points, and both sides have their delusions.
Yeah its an insane amount of work.
Yeah most people fail.
Yeah its risky as ****.
A very small amount of people are okay with it, most are not.

I think you're probably an outlier and the majority of entrepreneurs are all talk with no execution. But congrats on your success.

I know plenty of people that can't answer your huge list of questions, yet they are making bank. Maybe knowing those answers will make them more money, who knows, but you don't have to be revolutionary to make money. You just have to have people believe they are getting fair value for their money, whether you are offering a product or service.
