So there's a 1 in 35 chance that SOMEONE would win the small TV + big TV combo, but only a 1 in 1225 chance that a PARTICULAR PERSON would win the small TV + big TV combo.

But yes, all I was trying to say from the beginning was that each person with each small prize has the same chance at the big prize, no matter which one they won, therefore there is no particular reason to suggest foul play. I think I have just overcomplicated it in various ways when trying to explain that.

Again, it seems like you get it but at the same time seems like you dont lol. 34 prizes were ****, and 2 prizes were great. The chances of one person getting the 2 great prizes is 1/1225. Thats it.
Dont bring up the stapler, deck of cards **** again please lmao

I thought I had it with peacewithin, but apparently not.
The reason you're seeing it as 1/35 is because you're only considering the combinations where the person has already won the Big TV draw. You're not considering the 34/35 times that that person picks 'no prize' out of the Big TV draw.

There's a 1/35 chance of that being the winning combo no matter who gets it. Theres a 1/1225 chance for each individual person to win that combination at the end before the draws have started (where I admittedly did have confusion at the beginning but I've understood for ages now, I'm just going over things in different ways to try to explain where I'm coming from because I'm bad at it).
But that 1/1225 chance also applies to every other combination for any person, making things equal. Which I think we are all in agreement on we're just arguing back and forth because people think I still don't understand.
When really my point from the beginning (even when I want understanding the 1/1225 right) was that everyone has an equal chance for all the combos so there's no more reason to be suspicious about this than any other result that happened apart from the fact it's more rustling because it's the two high value options, but then bring high value doesn't change the odds.
The only thing that makes it suspect is that it was the gf drawing it, and I think we all agree that that was stupid and it should've been a neutral party to avoid suspicions like this if it happened, which was just as likely from the beginning as anything else happening.
At least today I find a thread where I know what I'm talking about to post in lmao

Yes, everyone at the start had an equal chance to win all the combos. Everyone had the 1/35 chances to win the small TV, everyone had the 1/35 chances to win the BIG tv and everyone had the 1/1225 chance of winning both tvs. In a fair draw, everyone would have had the same crazy odds of winning both TVs.
But two weird things happened:
1: Someone won the double TV combo, which was a super rare freaky chance.
2: That the person who won the incredibly freaky double TV combo just so happens to be the woman's boyfriend.
"there's no more reason to be suspicious about this than any other result that happened apart from the fact it's more rustling because it's the two high value options"
You trolling cookie? You are saying there's no more reason to be suspicious about this than any other result? You think if Charlie the mechanic had won the scooby doo doll + the big TV, is just as suspicios as if the woman in charge of the draw's boyfriend had won the two TVs?
Really rustling me with all the "i get it now" posts followed by a paragraph where you show you clearly dont get it yet lmao.
35 different prize combinations, only 1 GOAT combination with the 34 other combinations being "meh". Reason why everyone with common sense suspects is that the most valuable combination happened, and the winner was her boyfriend. out of all 35 people.

I do get all of that. I've tried to state I get all of that, but apparently I make no sense lmao. I think it's a combo of me not being able to explain myself very well, and starting off in the position where I was coming at it from the wrong angle and not getting it all.35 different prize combinations, only 1 GOAT combination with the 34 other combinations being "meh". We should leave this now, as I do understand what you are saying at this point, so you are not going to be able to explain it any further.
Let's just agree that someone else should've been drawing it so that if this happened it doesn't look as suspicious lmao

I think at this point, we need to take back all the prizes and draw again. 1225x1225= only a 1 in 1,500,625 chance the BF will win the TV combo AGAIN. At that point, you can be sure she's cheating.

Cookiefiend, if you didn't have high rep power (which dissuades people from negging you for fear of repercussions), there's about a 1/1225 chance you would still be green by now. Holy fuck

Theres a 1/1 chance idgaf about your rep power.
Chances of you making a good sandwich? I assume they are as good as the chances of the woman's boyfriend winning the deck of cards and stapler combo, which it was basically a 1/10000000000 chance

.I know you probably don't care about my rep power, neither do I, just responding to the guy saying that the only reason people aren't negging more is because they're scared. Those people can do it, I don't neg back.
