Why is it that a man can disavow his children when they become of age and not give them a single cent? Children provide huge support and meaning to a mans life and are the most impacted by the mans life choices and decisions. Who does your theory apply to that?

Okay, I’m done with this lol. I have more important **** to do.
It's because you are raising your kids where with the wife you are growing your wealth together.

You have responsibility for your kids till 18 and then they go out in the world to make their own money.

Your wife and you are suppose to be working together to build your own future so the success or failure you build affects you two personally. That's how marriage works.

Again this is not a women who married a wealthy man ...she married a broke baldcell and helped him build a 1 trillion dollar business.... She has a degree from Princeton university so clearly she is a smart women you seriously think she had very little to do with success of the business you seriously think the only thing she did was move boxes? This is not some ig Sloot or some bartender with fake tits he married this is a very smart women.

Like I said plenty of cases out there where some bimbo marries a very wealthy guy stays for few years and becomes millionaire. In those situations its clearly not fair but in this case it was totally fair for her to take half of the wealth weather they each get 10 000 or 100billion doesnt matter.

Couldn't she have gone after half?

Hard to really comment without knowing the extent she contributed to early days Amazon.

Honestly he deserves this for cheating so sloppily with a busted milf arguably uglier and definitely trashier than his wife. BRB risking half of 150 billion to bang some tranny looking 5/10.

I don't think most people actually realize how much money that is for being a housewife.

That's kind of the point.

Bezos was the VP of a Wall Street firm, they had a very comfortable life, then Bezos came up with his Amazon idea, told Mackenzie that it's a huge gamble that will most likely flop, but he still wants to go with it, so let's quit jobs, and move across states and hope for the best. Iirc they invested what they had, plus Bezos asked for 250k from his parents and just rolled with it. There really was no guarantee that Amazon would become a blast.

They weren't broke, but they did risk everything they had on a gamble and on hard work. Yes, it was Bezos' idea, plan etc., but she was there from before the beginning.

This. And to add to the fact, it's not even real money right now, it's stock. If Amazon stock dropped 4% one day, Jeff's net worth would have dropped just as much as the divorce cost. If I were her, I would cash out ASAP. Sell the stock, take the $35B and run.

She was with him from the beginning for over 25 years, the divorce was clearly caused by him, "only" a 75/25 split, and she had a nontrivial role in the company at the beginning.

If anything, he came out really well from this. Not sure what all of the complaints are expecting.

If she helped him enough to deserve billions of dollars, she should have gotten shares before the divorce. Marriage laws are simply retarded in the US, sorry. No ex deserves billions of dollars just because he/she is an ex.

The two of them had a shared stock from the beginning - around 16% of all stocks -, and she took 25% of that.

Imagine being such a small minded simpleton that you think eating a blue M&M will give you a different experience than a green one. lol.

*Dropped 25%. But yeah.

And to expand on that, she'd never see $35b trying to sell today. Dumping 20 mil shares on the market is going to bring that price way down if you expect to move them all. Although I'm sure that would still be a pretty handsome sum of money.
