It's "a quantifiable metric", but not a useful metric because that metric is not pertinent nor a fundamental competent for why Sony monitor has a value of $40k. Your comparing Apples to Oranges, Apple's display screen for graphic designers/prosumers/studios vs Sony's monitors are for high-grade commercial uses - monitoring screens, major cinemas, important live-production -, different needs for extremely different purposes.

Nothing. I simply told Bartosh it wasn't competition to the $43,000 monitor Apple used in their presentation. They compared a couple of specs to make it appear similar when in reality, they aren't even in the same product line.

It's a nice monitor for what it is. It will be be used as a high-end consumer monitor and some professional photo/video editing applications, but not the same applications that the Sony in the presentation is used for. Pretty simple.

You're comparing contrast ratio and brightness and that is it. Just lmao.

$40,000 broadcast reference monitors are the monitors used in new control rooms where you are actually "monitoring" critical on-air video. Even if you knew nothing about them, an idiot can simply compare inputs and outputs of the two and know they aren't even in the same class of product. 12G SDI vs a few USB-C ports...just fuking lmao. The apple will be used for photo and video editing that any idiot can do at home, just like the Dell.

Lmao @ the great triggering a chitty Monitor achieved!

Also a lot of people who use Apple products know they are overpriced, they aren’t dumb.

In my case I use a 2014 MacBook Pro and an iPhone 6s.

Neither are cutting edge anymore but they still work fine with no problems.

Biggest reason I pay Apple prices is purely to avoid Windows! I tried various Linux distros for years too but they just don’t compete to MacOS. Also nothing on the market compares to the MacBook Pro trackpad, I’ll fight any ******* who disagrees.

Same with android, I never liked the base OS and used the cyanogen mod for a long time as well. But for me personally iOS just feels better.

Inb4 “muh customisations!” argument.

So in closing, I suck on Apple’s dink, so I can avoid google and Microsoft double penetrating my azz.
