Insurance is expensive af now too. Gas is over $3 per gallon. Rent is like $800 minimum for a small shack lol.
Yet the whole world is out spending and partying like it's 1999 24/7 now

they wouldn't have cars or money to spend on shopping.

Back in 2009 there would legit be nobody out until around 4pm at the earliest. Literal ghost town. I could walk into a wal mart and 1pm and see maybe 40 people shopping. Now the entire world is out 24/7 it literally makes no sense.
Gyms were ghost towns too. Now there's 100 people at all of them. No matter which one you go to.

1 of 2 24 hour fitness gyms near my area. It's always cars just like the pic you showed, and dudes will roll 3-4 deep ALL FOR UPPER BODY. I've yet to see 3-4 heads at the rack getting in tha reps or deadlifting. Went to do upper body one time in the evening, but everything was taken. Just did cardio and bounced.
Goat tier time to go to the gym is 12am-4am. obv not everybody can hit those times, but it's the most empty of course.
4pm-8pm is trash tier. This where you got 3 people on one machine, the most tripods being set up, etc

I'm thinking about signing up again with this one gym I used during the lockdowns, where the outside looks like an abandoned bar, and you need a key to get in.

A few years ago we'd see like 12 employees working at the same time at these spots. So all these people stopped working and are just shopping, going to the gym, walking their dogs at the park, and going grocery shopping every single day?

Bingo. The people that were working those jobs 5 years ago are now neet-maxxing and playing all day, somehow. So not only is every business or service you need understaffed, but more NPC's than ever are just in your way when you're trying to get things done. It isn't sustainable for a society.

Go open another gym. The demand is obviously there.

Congrats on discovering that people simply are not working; been this way since 2021
If you're confused on how they survive let me inform you that 1 in 4 people are now on EBT/disability; that's a free $15K/year minimum on top of their part-time work
Unemployment rates are a complete lie by the Biden admin, I wood accurately guesstimate 1 in 6 people are not working at all in 2024
Myself having been in dozens of metros all across the US over the last few years, it's like this everywhere you go
This is all going to come crashing down sooner rather than later; 60% of car loans are current defaulting for example
Next comes the mortgages

came back from the gym not to long ago and it was less people at 9am on a Saturday than there was at 10 am on a Friday, go figure… Weird world we live in now! Also noticed all the parking lots at the business plaza's were already slammed as I was going back home.
I have no idea how these people aren't working and just hanging out and spending money every day. Then they somehow have money to go out and party at the clubs every weekend? I was shocked when I went out for drinks on a Thursday night and the entire spot was JAMMED as if it was a Saturday night crowd. And most people were drinking to the point of getting drunk too. How do these people not have work/class the next day?
Friday and Saturday used to be the days for going out, but now it seems as if people are going out and partying every night of the week.

I don't think 80% of the population works anymore. Just 5-10 years ago the streets would be empty except for the brief rush hour time frames. This has been 24/7 for 2 years now at least.
Then on 99% of day I do go to work (in manhattan), theres hardly anyone on the sidewalk around my business district.

Every place is packed 24/7 now like it's Bourbon street or Miami or something. It doesn't make sense considering how expensive everything is imo.
It used to just be tourists towns or maybe a mall or wal mart that got busy now it's everywhere

Use to be that if you went to the gym or the grocery store at certain "off" hours you could conduct your business without running into huge crowds but not anymore. Another thing I've noticed is how busy dine-in restaurants have become. You might expect a restaurant to be slammed on the weekends, and you would be wise to make reservations, but now it seems as if you better make a reservation no matter what day you go out to eat. I've gone out to restaurants at 11am on a Tuesday and have had to wait 30+ minutes for a table for 3. And these are restaurants with adequate seating.

If every place is elbow to elbow with waiting lines then how do you do anything? Every destination is like bourbon street and if you've ever been there you know it's hard to even walk in those places let alone park your car.
You used to be able to plan your errands and day around when businesses/establishments would be at peak hours to avoid the crowd. But now that planning is worthless because these places are seemingly at their peak from opening to close.

Yep dine in restaurants are incredibly busy now. They typically have 40-50 customers now. It used to be these places would have maybe 10-20 customers at peak hours. How are they always packed full now? How are people waiting around 20+ minutes and eating this stuff every day? Even regular restaurants now will often times have 10-20 minute waits. I've been to numerous ones that only had 1-2 people working while entire town is out on a weekend night. Like wut.
