word brahs, great game!

Sean Payton is the smartest offensive mind in football, but Darin Gantt(old Carolina beat writer) put it best: today was a classic example of outsmarting himself. Starting a rookie LT against this d-line? forever calling screens? 4th down attempt with backup QB? The Saints performances on the road just baffles me. Don't understand how they can be so dominant at the dome but look like a top 10 pick team on the road, esp with Payton/Brees.

playoffs playoffs PLAYOFFS. so unbelievably stoked. We could LITERALLY GET A BYE WEEK, TOO. We just have to take care of the Falcons. I'm losing my mind. Legit.

I think with all those calls, he just knew Carolina was the better team at home. He tried to tip the balance. He tried to take the DL out of the game with the screen calls, but Kuechly and Davis are too good.

I'm absolutely including that into my opinion. They threw the kitchen sink at the Panthers.

Hopefully the worst case scenario for both of them is that they miss next weeks match up and if we win, will be ready for our playoff gm with a whole week to rest

As if people weren't already anointing Keek as the next GOAT MLB, I have a feeling after 24 tackles and a pick we'll be hearing a lot of it in the media this week.

Tough and frustrating game today but Cammy Clutch shined when it counted, just praying Smitty's MRI comes back negative for torn ligaments. Only upside is it could potentially force Gettlemen into pushing for a top tier WR in draft or free agency, which we desperately need.

Lets just hope he is back for Round 1. Either way we are in the playoffs and our defense will keep us in games.

Could very well see that happening. That's a good way to look at it. Frankly, our defense is legit. We need corner(s), maybe a safety, maybe a SLB, but our defense is clearly good enough to not warrant using our first on it. Esp if we can resign Hardy(we fuking better). Our offense is what needs help. I know we can't expect to put up 30 on every team, but actually with a QB like Cam I think we SHOULD expect that. He desperately needs another WR that can consistently get open. Ginn, LaFell are just too inconsistent. They'll be GREAT as a #3/depth guy, but too fuking frustrating to be the #2.

The game yesterday reminded me again of how much I dislike the Saints.

One of my fondest memories against them…

Too bad we lost to those SOBs that day.

^^^ yup. I can't be the only one that absolutely fuking despises Jimmy Graham, am I? I know with Gronk forever injured now, he is probably the best TE in the NFL but my god he's a class A *******. The flopping, the fuking taunting because he beat someone half his size in the end zone.. Then the announcers make it worst always talking about his basketball background(obvious to tell he used to play basketball).

I just hate that *******. More than any NFL player I think.

Surprise surprise. Peter King bashing Cam.
Has Cam Newton made a play today? One? Peter King (@SI_PeterKing) December 22, 2013
Carolina drafted Newton first overall for games like this, and he's failing them miserably today. Peter King (@SI_PeterKing) December 22, 2013
Just can't stand Cam stood him up in his rookie season. I love it.

King really doesn't like Cam. Its hilarious when he has to come up with backhand compliments because Cam shows him up.

Which is the opposite of his hard on for RGIII

Fuark, brahs, been without internet for a few days due to a move but I've got it back and let me tell you I'M STILL PUMPED!

Barely have a voice and probably have pneumonia from being in that rain but not a single phuck is given. That stadium was absolutely deafening! I've never been a part of an atmosphere even close to that before. Unreal. And to think we came out on top…

When we punted with 2:00 left I thought it was over. When we allowed single coverage and an easy TD to Graham in the goal line I almost raged. HOWEVER after receiving a text from an unnamed person at that 2:00 punt saying "Cams blown this one for us" I thought to myself… This is what he's been doing all year. When he has the ball in his hands at the end of the game there is still a chance. We've gone from absolutely blowing games late every single time to being that team that is clutch as fuk winning games at the very end on a regular basis (and against superb competition, too).

Oh man, I could go on for days. So many highs and lows in that game. I literally felt sick when I watched Smitty go down writhing in pain on a non contact injury. He stayed on the sideline for quite some time. We can win without him no doubt, he's not vintage Smitty anymore, but it was heartbreaking to see someone like him go down like that. Sadly a devastating knee injury could effectively end his career due to his advanced age and it happening at this time of year would pretty much cost him all of next season too… I've had no internet or TV so I don't know what the latest is on him.

Anyway, as long as we can bend the Falcons over we're good to go! I seriously considered making a sign that said "Panthers are bake" as a shout out to you misc brahs and hopefully I could get picked up on some c'mon man or not top 10 by the unaware stations out there.

The rain was icing on the cake, though. That monsoon was badass and we raged on through it. Epic.

More random thoughts since I wasn't able to be in the game thread with any of you guys…

WTF at ANOTHER redzone wildcat call…

Olsen dropped a couple including a loooong pass down the middle of the field. Cam didn't play well but he received no help.

Fuk the DeAngelo haters.

lmao at their fake field goal try. That one looked like it had never been practiced.

Also, words can't even describe Kuech… motherofgod. Though I did get annoyed at them chunking yardage on us via the ground. Can't complain too much, though.

Also - Raged at the illegal formation on the defense (on the punt) and when Cam got collared on a sack yet apparently it's legal because he was in the pocket. That's a bull**** rule…

SirCharles, smitty has a sprained PCL so it was best case scenario.

saw a tweet this morning that Smitty rehabbed today from 6:45 am to 1:15pm. that man wants to be in the playoffs!

Sprained PCL. good thing our playoff spot is locked up. gives him some time. Smitty fixin to ice up, son.

Think I will root for the bucs even though they have a 0.0000000001% chance of beating the scumbags in N.O. would be so sweet if that happens and the cards win. Another playoffs without fans from the cesspool on the bayou would make me (and all warner/farve fans) happy.
