Rivera needs to learn when to kick a ****ing field goal. I'm getting really irritated passing on 50-55 yard FG's when we got rid of a fan favorite in Kasay because of his weak leg to sign an alleged big legged kicker. We're ROUTINELY passing on long range, but manageable field goals and it could have cost us the game today.

Otah back and the run game (at least Stewart) was a bit more successful. I hope that's a trend.

Feel good about the Bears game. They have a good defense but they have (arguably) the worst offensive line in the league.

Greg Hardy and Charles Johnson are ****ing relentless and I couldn't be more impressed with them. They will be on Cutler's ass all game and will probably force some bad throws/turnovers. It'll probably be a low scoring game, though.

It's going to be tough going for JStew and DWill but last night the Bears looked Vulnerable through the air (granted they've faced Brees and Rodgers the last two weeks) so I'm sure Cam will get all the work he can handle. Hopefully Smitty can get back on track in that one.

And ^^ down by contact was probably the right call BUT with it not being ruled down on the field I have no idea how that video could give them indisputable evidence to overturn the original call… The damn ref went under the hood and made an assumption on that one which could have very well resulted in us losing that game had Cam not mounted that late TD drive.

Yeah, the Bears are gonna be a tough game but I think we can hang with them. Browsing the Bears forum, a lot of their fans are making it seem like their team is in shambles and they want to clean house. I don't really agree with that, I think they have a very good defense and their offense isn't TERRIBLE(just very inconsistent in the limited Bears games I've seen).

Steve Smith is used to embarassing their secondary so I hope we can take advantage of that this week. Also hope Olsen is playing with a chip on his shoulder after getting traded.

and a funny quote I just read lol:

"Lovie Smith on Cam Newton: "We don't play many teams that get off a bus, and their quarterback looks like Julius Peppers."

This. I don't know how, but the Panthers always seem to be able to get the most out of LBers. James Anderson didn't come around until a few years in the league, and even Thomas Davis took a while to really come into his own(and as soon as he did, injury injury injury ). I mean I'm not saying throw a 3rd(don't even have one lol), or even a 4th. But if he can be had for a late rounder(or gasp, Jimmy Clausen! have heard his name thrown around as a possible trading piece for Curry) I say go for it. Not like his contract is crippling, he is a FA in 2013. He took a big hit when he restructured his rookie deal.

I don't think they'd be stupid enough to give up too much for him given that unless Davis's career is over then dude would go right back to the pine as soon as he's healthy. But if he can be had cheaply enough he's worth a shot. Dude is a Wake product and coming back home might wake him up… as well as what was said earlier about having the best mentors around.

I don't think hes a bust, he has underperformed but he had hugeeeee potential when he was drafted, he was known as the safest pick in the league. it could be that they aren't using him properly, and I think our new coaches could. Lets face it, Thomas Davis will never play, ever year he goes down with some other injury, hes undersized and somewhat overhyped IMO. I like him but sometimes you just got to part ways.

Dude be honest with ****. He sucks on a terrible team. It has nothing to do with using him properly. He's terrible.

You're right about Thomas Davis. He's done due to injuries. It's ironic that you're calling him overhyped yet wanting them to trade for a workout warrior…

BTW how does someone not use a LB correctly? OK so Clay Matthews wouldn't be as good as a 4-3 guy…but lets be honest this guy just sucks on defense.

Sometimes it just takes a change of scenery. The guy was drafted as much on his collegiate performance as he was on his combine numbers. Personally I've not seen many (any) Seahawks games to know what his problem was. I DO think a coaching staff can make a huge difference in a player, there are examples of that all over the NFL, so if he comes without giving up much I say why not take a chance.

I hate trading draft picks for guys who have never shown anything in the NFL. I doubt there is a single Seahawks fan who feels bad about this guy leaving.

Lets just accept we have injuries at the LB position and not make draft problems like we keep doing…Everette Brown, Armanti Edwards…

we could be 4-0 right now easily

but we aren't

our defensive injuries are really showing right now. our ONLY chance in winning games is if we keep the other team off the field. to do that we have to run the ball consistently which we aren't.

now there is pretty much no doubt in my mind we'll be going defense with the first pick.

When will coaches learn not to kick the f*cking ball to Devin Hester? I mean seriously. Before the very first punt, I said kick it out of bounds. But nah, forget that. Lets kick it right to him. As soon as he caught it I just knew he was going to return it for a TD. Another winnable game.

Also, why in the hell is Legedu the go to guy in crucial late game situations? I would be looking for Smith, Olsen/Shockey, or LaFell long before I would even glance at Legedu. This ******* was trying to catch passes while laying on the ground. Get the f*ck outta here with that garbage.

I'm not saying let's give up a first rounder like ew did with everette or anything like that but for a 4th or 5th or for Jimmy, why the hell not??

Special teams are hurting us worse than our defense is. Huge kick return led to a touchdown. Punt return TD. Blocked FG. Missed FG. They cost us Arizona too. I do agree we'll be going defense though, either a corner or a tackle I'd assume. Time to ramp up the scouting.

Special teams is hurting because a lot of the guys we were using there have been pushed to the defense because of injuries. I'm flabergasted why we signed Mare to a 4 year deal and got rid of Kasay when Mare can't even hit a 50 yarder. Waste. I'd have rather kept Lloyd and Kasay, or brought in a new guy.

Anyways, apparently there was some tension in the locker room. Olsen tried to console Cam after the loss, and Cam blew up on him. Cam apologized to him in his presser. Shockey took shots at the refs(rightfully so). Smitty said coaches weren't happy and some people were going to lose their jobs.

I like that losses are affecting these guys though. Last year it seemed everyone had a "I don't give a single ****, just gimme my paycheck" attitude. I just hope this constant losing isn't going to hurt Cam's development.

On a side note, refs obviously using this game as a makeup game after ****ing the Bears over last week. We got shafted so many times.

Brandon Merriweather is a punk bitch. Dude lead with his helmet like every time, yet Smitty still made him his bitch.

You're right about Thomas Davis. He's done due to injuries. It's ironic that you're calling him overhyped yet wanting them to trade for a workout warrior…

Hes terrible? Thats a little harsh. The seahawks whole team sucks, when everyone around you plays terrible, its hard to consistently play good. I'm not saying hes a football god, but to say hes terrible is just silly. Why do you think hes trash? Is it because hes an OLB and not racking up 100+ tackles a season? The guys only 25 years old, and coaching does play a big part, look at Cedric Benson, who was horrrrrrrrrrible for for the bears, now hes in a change of scenery hes actually a pretty legit running back. Dont underestimate coaching, seahawks had to get a new coaching staff so obviously something isnt going right. To be honest, i dont know much about the trade, im not saying throw a 1st or 2nd round pick for him but if we can get a deal on him, why not.
