It' a little bit overrated but sucks is a strong word. Definitely a funny show.

Seinfeld was amazing in the 90's. I still love the sarcastic/satirical nature of the show though I think the humor may be lost on this generation.

Wife likes Friends which I think was meant for simpletons. I married a simpleton misc...

Fair enough, I would probably feel different if I was watching it when it was new. I think it's Jerry I don't like and some of the situations, maybe it's the laugh track. I'll have to watch it again.

I agree. Seinfeld is overrated, but I grew up watching it, so it's still one of my favorites.

It's not "Smart", it's not like there are obscure references that unless you're well read you won't understand what's going on. The humor isn't even particularly deep.

What it is, is CLEVER. Very, very, very clever. I get that some people don't care for an episode's premise or whatever, but they try something different every time.

Also, Morty's Mind Blowers might be the best episode of the season.

I think Rick and Morty appeals to people with a really low threshold for comedy. It's entertaining to watch but I wouldn't really say that it is funny or particularly well written. It's mostly retard comedy and I feel like most of the jokes are really low hanging fruit.

Reminds me of Bob's Burgers, which isn't funny at all to me. I find Aqua Teen Hunger Force, King of The Hill, Chappelle's Show,Step Brothers,In Living Color, Seinfeld, It's Always Sunny..., mid/early Simpsons, Some Family Guy, Some American Dad, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Eastbound and Down funny, for reference.


"Reference" humor isn't particularly funny to me. I guess that I am out of touch, because it seems that everything today is about referencing something that happened in a past decade or that "aha!" moment that people get when they hear something familiar that makes them feel like an insider. In the internet era, I guess that it makes sense.
