good season guys…let's be honest, we overachieved. Said it a couple times earlier this season but I think we are just a couple players away from being a real powerhouse.
Rooting for Seattle next week, Niners might be the worst winners i've ever seen…fans and players both. Even their coach acts like a spoiled brat.
Let's hope we pick up a legit receiver this off season!! Some investments in our secondary are also necessary.

Alright rant time real quick…
1) Ummm…where was our DL? I understand the 49ers "have" one in that they've been good in the past but sucked this year…but goddamn there was nothing from them all game.
2) The ref'ing was ****ing atrocious in the first half. But our secondary (including the LBs) get way too many penalties. Probably because they (mostly the secondary) suck ass. Kuechly takes too many, but I'm confident that's a learning thing.
3) Ummm…seriously where the **** was our DL?
4) I really wish we could cut DWill and Stewart and just get a 6th rounder or something.
5) A WR1 please…
6) What happened to our goal line playcalling?
7) Do people realize the **** contract JStew has?
8) Our secondary…
9) Did Hixon even play that game?
10) Seriously…were we playing second teamers on the DL?
I'm really concerned about dropping a mega contract on Hardy. We're still in rough shape with the salary cap. I mean outside of the 7 sacks in the final two games he had 8 on the season…again this is just ranting but thats a lot of money on a guy who was ridiculously epic for 2 games. Especially with extensions for Cam and Luke the next two offseasons.

Despite any extenuating circumstances SF is legit better (at least for now). If Cam had some of the weps around him then maybe, but we don't know that feel. Either way we were really just hoping to break even this year, right? Smashed that (helped that ATL and TB sucked) and we finally learned how to win close games late. Really looking forward to the draft!

Its apparent our most dire needs are offensive line and an offensive playmaker. this franchise has youth in key spots and is headed in a great direction for the future, so I fully expect Cam to be in the superbowl at some point in time. Kaep is now on my **** list along with Brady and Brees for being one of the biggest kunts in football. Not sure how the guy is so cocky, his passing skills are well below average, he gets carried by good receivers and a good defense…yet this justifies him to be a cocky *******.

Hope the broncos win it this year(even though im not a john fox fan). Organization seems to be classy plus peyton is the man.

NYG was dire for RB most of the season anyway, would have been epic.

Here you go.
Physical, tough, hard-nosed running back, good receiver out of the backfield as well.
Also, Jarvis Landry out of LSU, terrific route runner, catches everything and I mean everything.
Russell Wilson, the first QB in NFL history to throw a game-winning interception.
"So you got fired again eh?" "Yeah, they always freak out when you leave the scene of an accident."
Spiders are like offensive linemen, the best ones do their job and you never notice them.
An obvious example of New Math.

I love Williams, a bigger back, doesn't dance around a lot, finds the hole and hits it hard, nothing too fancy.
Landry is one of my very favorite WR's in this draft, not the biggest, not the fastest, but he runs slick routes, gets open and his hands are ridiculous. I see him as being a very good pro receiver, even better than his teammate Beckham.

Hasn't really hit me until just now brahs and this one hurt. I just wanted to be closer, we looked like absolute trash that 2nd half. Cam looked out of it. Smitty's knee was starting to bother him. Our D went full potato.
Got to say, great game played by the 9ers and overall im happy with this season. Always next year bros. This will be the one time I root for the seahawks.

good job to the Panthers, helluva turnaround.
and remember, no matter how bad things get, you STILL have this guy on your team:

Pretty sure cutting JStew would accelerate like $28 million (or some absurd amount like that) into our cap number next year. So that's off the table. Anddd no one is going to take that contract from us via trade so the only thing we can do is pray he can get healthy and play like it's 2008-2009. Needless to say not very confident on that front, lol. Crazier things have happened tho, JStew was always all-world talented just that damn injury bug.
Anyways. Had some time to cool off and as ****ty as today's game was it doesn't change my outlook on our future or any single player. I still want to keep the same guys I wanted to keep before today and still want to get rid of the same guys I wanted to get rid of before today(strong redundancy lol).
Fact of the matter this isn't 2008. Our QB isn't 30-something year old, post-TJ surgery Jake Dehlomme. He is Cam Newton. 24 year old Cam Newton that was the leader of a team that went 12-4 and got the #2 seed. Multiple game winning drives against some pretty damn good teams. Cam matured immensely this season and will only get better as a thrower when we add some weapons/improve his supporting cast this offseason.
We've got Kuechly and Thomas Davis. Kuechly is AT WORST the 3rd best ILB in the NFL. The leader of the second ranked defense and a legitimate contender for DPOY(note: contender, don't think he will win). Davis is probably the second best WLB in the NFL and showed virtually no signs of weakness in his three-times-torn knee. Dude is legit amazing and will continue to defy odds and beast on urrybody.
We've got Star Lotulelei. In his first season he is already one of the best interior linemen in the entire fuking NFL. The best defenses in the game are all built around a dominant defensive line, and a defensive line is defined by the interior. We've had great ends for years but our pass rush/defense in general was nothing to write home about. We finally got help from the interior and what happens? Defense goes from meh to ELITE(and I don't throw that word around without meaning it) in one year. This guy IMO is the most important piece on defense going forward and he will only improve. He's going to get bigger, mature, learn from the (very few) mistakes he made this season.. Pretty much the guy is on his way to being an perennially elite defensive star(no pun intended) and he is all ours. Sorry to ramble so much but I am just so stoked on this dude.
We've still got Charles Johnson & will have Greg Hardy(prob via the franchise tag). Despite not really having a great game today they are still one of the top duo's in the NFL. Chlax I know you mentioned his last couple games inflating his sack numbers but those were two incredibly important games, no? We cliched the playoffs in one and the division/#2 seed in the next. I'm never a fan of saying a DE/DB's sack/int numbers are inflated because every one of those matters regardless if they came in the same game. Fact remains that Hardy was a force the entire season getting into the backfield forcing QB's to scramble outta the pocket or make a bad decision. He took multiple blockers. Pretty much dude was a consistent terror and I hope this game doesn't push Panthers' FO away because he was a huge reason our defense was so dominant. IMO, at least.
We've still got Ryan Kalil, Amini Silatoli, and hopefully Jordan Gross. The fill ins on the right side(as well as LG) were good at times, but inconsistent. When they were off though, they were really off lol. Dat revolving door . That aside though, Kalil is a top OL in the league, maybe even the best center? Either way, a good guy to build an OL around. Silatolu went down early but a lot of folks forget that he finished 2012 with some pretty damn impressive performances. Going into this year many expected him to emerge as one of the better guards in the league. Dude is a straight mauler and will have a gigantic impact in the run game. There were rumors of Gross retiring(I also think his contract has a void clause or something?) and I hope he decides to give us one more year. He is no longer an elite tackle or close to it, but he's a consistently good OL and that's something a lot of teams would kill for. OL definitely needs a couple starters and some depth but we've got a few good pieces to build around. We are in better shape on that front than a lot of other teams.
We've still got ummmm Greg Olsen? Lol trying to be positive about our receiving corps but it's hard. Smitty isn't getting any younger and LaFell once again tipped a pass into an INT. This is one area where I am not optimistic about as is. Upgrading the receiving corps, whether it's via a WR or a dynamic TE like a Davis/Graham/etc(yeah these guys grow on trees, right? :P), is our #1 priority IMO. I'll save some time and combine this note with our entire secondary. Both extremely thin groups that need upgrading(although our d-line makes me put cornerbacks as our #2 priority this offseason). I think we should look into resigning Mike Mitchell, though. He is by no means worth a lot but I feel like he was solid for us and worth keeping. Will save us a draft pick/overpay in free agency and at least keep a little familiarity in the secondary. Any other guys y'all think we should keep in that group? Munnerlyn is a good tackler and made some big plays, wouldn't mind bringing him back at the right price as long as he isn't lining up opposite a WR1 lol. Quintin Mikell, Josh Thomas, Drayton Florence? Thoughts? I was personally a big Josh Norman fan. Loved how physical/chirpy he played but I guess he fell into the coaches dog house.
And lastly we've still got a great coaching staff & front office. Ron Rivera went from being the most hated man in Charlotte.. on the verge of being fired.. To Riverboat Ron. A completely different person & coach. Aggressive. Ballsy. Best of all: smart. Started utilizing our behemoth of a QB in those short yardage situations. Masked our offensive line injuries by plays designed to move the line around/focus on the left side. Coached this defense to finishing the season ranked second and dominant in damn near every defensive statistic with Captain Munnerlyn as his best corner(McDermott also did a fantastic job and it looks like he will be staying as well). The Falcons fan on this board, Nos-outlast mentioned a while back that Rivera was such a good defensive minds but he never really left a mark, made a statement with Carolina before this season. He made that statement this year. Thank you Riverboat Ron. As for the front office, Gettleman did a pretty damn good job with almost no cap room last offseason signing journey type dudes(Mitchell being the best IMO) on one year deals that were big time contributors to our success.
Oh, and we also have all of our draft picks('cept for the 7th rounder we traded to SF) and significantly more cap room to work with this offseason. Also helps that this is an incredibly deep WR/DB draft if I'm not mistaken(have heard multiple folks say this).
Sorry for the absurdly long post. I'm trying my best to stay optimistic and erase the awful memory of today's game and look on the bright side. Didn't intend to write this much, I just genuinely believe this teams future is bright and once I got started writing it kinda got away from me. Don't get me wrong though.. The team definitely needs some work if we want to make some noise in the playoffs.. OL needs some work/improved depth.. Cam DESPERATELY needs some weapons; skill positions need upgrades in a major, major way. Probably need to look at finding a new starting RB. Secondary needs like 3 new starters(lol sadly I'm srs)7 and some depth. Need to find a permanent SLB.. As hard as this may be to believe I actually have a lot more to say but I am so incredibly tired. This is all I'm able to write up tonight.
For those that actually took the time to read this though.. thoughts? Agree/disagree?
Anyways. Had some time to cool off and as ****ty as today's game was it doesn't change my outlook on our future or any single player.

Just gonna say I think this draft is a perfect time for you guys to add some weapons to Cam. You already have some deep threat/speed guys and this draft is full of big physical receivers who would be perfect compliments to them.
I see Carolina only getting better but have to admit outside of Hardy I'm not familiar with your FA situation.
