The most pathetic part of all of this is the fact some boomers, in “retirement”, are going to be surviving on base social security, working past retirement age and leaving absolutely no inheritance to their children, renting 1 bedroom apartments and taking public transit.
How the FUKC could you fail that hard, when the absolute best opportunity any generation has had ever fell into your lap by random chance of your birth year?

Greatest Generation = my grandparents
Boomers = my parents
Gen X = me
Gen Z (or whatever they finally go with) = my daughter
No millennials here...bullet dodged.
Are there actually that many Boomers still in the workforce? My parent's batch are in their 70s now.
And I wasn't particularly spoiled...chores, allowance, first job at 16, moved out @ 19 working full time.

When I was telling my friends I was moving home, while they were all getting apartments in the NYC area literally a short drive from their parents, they all couldn't believe I would go back to live with my parents. It was like taboo. They COULD have done the same thing, they chose not to because of their image. In the following years I saved up tens of thousands of dollars while they didn't. I'm not talking about kids from a broken home who don't have a home to go back to. I'm talking about middle to upper-middle class university graduates whose parents are successful boomers who think they are too cool (cough, entitled, cough) to go back and live with their parents.

OP is another whiny millennial (prob redditor/whiner based on original post)
I'm millennial, like a lot of you guys. Watched what happened first hand. Chit cards? Sure, but nothing impossible to overcome. I have friends that sound like OP, complaining about how hard we have it etc. I have MANY friends like me, worked hard and became successful regardless. A lot of us like to cry and complain about how easy our parents had it, but a lot also simply drive the fuk on and make chit happen (What else can you do?)
Like some other smart bros willing to work ITT:
Joined Army 05
Was in through 08 financial crisis but didnt get touched in the least
Got out in 2011 with deployment money stacked up
got good job cause skills learned in military
just finished my degree last month (yay GI bill) 0 debt
have awesome job, college degree, and fine ass successful gf
dasitmane/10
Came from a broke ass single mother home with 3 bad ass kids (not that it matters in my case) life is what you make of it

Here is an example of some millenials I know.

Out of all of them, *1* actually is a real entrepreneur, he started a company selling mens lotion/face care products. They might have done $10k in sales this year. But its a start.
The others? ****ing started blogs... or a youtube page w/ 100 subs. Other is a barber...
I'm all for people wanting to do their own thing, I'm a business owner myself... But so many "millenials" want what they see on IG, they want to get paid to have a blog and do whatever they want to do. In the real world, that doesn't always translate to real success.

today, when many of the millenial generation graduated or entered the workforce right around the 2008 housing crisis, they have far greater debts, and far less income.
millenials paid something like, what, 1,200% more than the boomer generation for education (ive seen figures ranging from 1000% more to 20,000% more lololololol)
millenials earn something like, what, 20% less than the boomer generation when accounting for inflation
and they wonder why nobody is buying a house
the boomers were entitled as
anyway go fist yourselves

All you gotta ask is are people paying a higher percent of taxes now or less? Not just income but all taxes and its we pay hella taxes and stupid fees for regularions. Plus inflation is a hidden tax.
California literally voted to increase taxes.
Thats all the proof i need to tell these ******* boomers off
