Cotchery doesn't excite me in the slightest, but it's better than nothing I suppose.

Lot's of talk on Panthers forum about Desean Jackson. Of course we'll never trade for him, but it's the thought that really counts.

Couldn't get him even if we wanted. Cap hit is way too much.

Antoine Cason visiting Panthers tonight. hopefully this deal gets done. would like to get Terrell Thomas too and solidify the CB spots.

i like the Cotchery signing. will be an upgrade over Lafell since he is more reliable. The only WR we could pick up to "replace" Smitty would be DJax. other than that, i don't look at any FA WR as a Smitty replacement. that will come from the draft.

Also, I think King will be the Ginn replacement in the offense as the deep threat and Barner or Pilares will replace him on returns

Signing Cotchery is such a "meh" move. I guess anything is better than what he have now. But basically Cotchery has helped by Brown and Sanders last season and when Miller has healthy he was Ben's 4th option.

Kenny Britt might meet with the panthers, now this a move I like. We still have to go receiver with the 1st pick.

The Charlotte Observer reports the Eagles "informally reached out" to the Panthers about their interest in DeSean Jackson.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Panthers and Raiders have also inquired on DeSean Jackson.

Olsen, Cotchery, Underwood, and two talented rookies should be a solid group. I don't think there's any chance we get Desean Jackson, but I read Kenny Britt is visiting.

The oven is preheating. At about 350.

if we did trade for him we'd no doubt sign him to an extension and add 2-3 more years to his deal, making the cap hit very manageable especially with the books cleaning up over the next couple years.

I'm very torn, tbh.. as it stands now we'll be in great shape cap wise in roughly 1-2 seasons. We'll have no issues whatsoever keeping the big guys (Keek, Cam, Star, etc) and plenty of space to do more.. but DJax would be such an incredible weapon to have on this offense with Cam's ridic arm. It'd give us much more flexibility to grab the BPA on draft day rather than picking a receiver.. and frankly with the rising cap I'm not so sure his contract would be that crippling for us. I think we could spread if out and not really have any issues keeping the core in tact.

Basically I understand if we don't make a play for him, but I'm not gonna be upset in the slightest if we do.

Hey FUK YOU GUYS for stealing Joe Webb… Srs.

Dude is such a team player and good guy, gonna miss having him on the Vikes even though he didn't have much of an impact on the field.

Cason signed accoring to Panthers website…

Not really sure what's up with the Underwood signing I mean the only reason i know that guy is because of his House Party haircut on espn fantasy…Cotchery is a nice grab though in my opinion, certainly an upgrade over what we had.

Pretty amped for the draft, just hope it doesn't kill my buzz.

Underwood is pretty similar to Ginn. Just slightly better receiver and slightly worse returner, from what I've seen.

Underwood is a pretty decent receiver. Hands got sloppy periodically but he's a solid #3. He won't be a problem off the field and his Hi-top fade provides the lulz.

Not sure why the Bucs let him go and Owusu stay…

Doubt it, Ginn was at least mediocre with Henne at QB. Underwood has never been nothing but a 4th option

honestly though, who has Underwood had throwing to him? Freeman? Glennon? Henne?

we saw what Cam did for Ginn last year. maybe he can do the same for Underwood

I'm guessing they could, but I doubt they would. I'm assuming the Raiders or someone would be willing to take it on.
