And vitamin b defficiency is what? Your point makes no sense. You know that EVEN your own body makes cholesterol and from cholesterol you make vitamin d. But does your body make vitamin b? I guess not, can you get it from a plant based diet? I guess not. Inwonder how our ancestor survived. Its about how much you have. Brb drinking 20 litre of water a day. No wonder people die from cholesterol because everything in excess is bad for you, but just to tell you even if you have more cholesterol but you have a healthy diet then its still okay, but most people eat garbage fast processed food in excess.

You're being dumb man.
We are adapted to be omnivorous. We are opportunistic feeders which is a huge advantage given our other adaptations to use tools, live socially, and migrate into a variety of ecosystems and dominate them. A human may not live as long in the high arctic eating whale and seal meat, but we CAN survive there. Does this mean in 2016 eating whale and seal meat is the most healthy, ethical, or sustainable diet... certainly not.

Don't try to rewrite all we know about archaeology, biology, history, and anatomy just to fit your health or ethical decisions. It's ok, and even respectable to acknowledge we are adapted to eat meat but choose not to eat meat personally.

I hope I don't need to explain to you that:
human stomach's produces hydrochloric acid
human pancreas manufactures a full range of digestive enzymes to handle a wide variety of foods, both animal and vegetable
humans may have longer intestines than animal carnivores, they are not as long as herbivores'; nor do we possess multiple stomachs like many herbivores, nor do we chew cud
humans have eaten meat for 2.5 million years or more, according to fossil evidence

Please don't cherry pick 2 points and expect anyone but the most dense Miscer to believe humans are herbivores who only recently started to sample meat (omnivorous diet). Just lol.

literally the only thing animal products give is vitamin b but at the cost of many other anti nutrients. You can easily get vitamin b other ways. For crying out loud animal products only have vitamin b because it is supplemented into their diets via FORTIFIED PLANTS

moving on, eating meat is natural to humans since the dawn of time. for over 10,000 years we have hunted, fished, domesticated animals for consumption and labor. no peabrain pucci from ****stain Europe is going to tell me that eating meat is wrong and we are not meant to eat meat.

you can mental gymnastic all you want as to why, but at the end of the day reality prevails. The world will continue to hunt, farm and consume meat and dairy products until the lights go out. Enjoy screaming into your pillow you angsty hippie.

MetalLover is a phucking legend.

It takes a special kind of patience to argue with all of the deluded meattard morons of misc. It's so phucking hilarious how buthurt these *******s act when you point out their immoral behavior and the hypocrisy they use to justify it.

LOL I'm sorry, but veganism is the way of the future. If you actually put your biases aside and research things with a level head, you'll quickly find out how many solutions it provides to a lot of our problems today, and not only that, but you'll also quickly find out how it is morally unjustifiable to kill an animal for convenience, pleasure or desire.

So many buthurt *******s just can't let go of their old belief systems. You can almost tell a person's general intelligence/logic by how they react to veganism, it's honestly getting to that point.

Get off your 'free range' high horse bull chit.
You seem just as upset.

As I said, I buy the vast majority of eggs/chicken I eat from a local place, not a factory farm. So how does that apply to me again? The only place I probably consume factory farmed meat is fast-food chicken (once a week...)

Chickens... they also have a chitty life, whether for eggs or slaughter.

Lab meat is coming, brah. But in the mean time, you can be better and give up the chicken and fish! Plenty of protein in plants!

Dairy is the absolute worst industry of all when you pay attention to the process, my friend. Female cows go through the same stresses as raped women, because, well, they are raped... and again, before you think that's sensationalist, they are actually put into a device that the industry itself refers to as "a rape rack".

Then they have their offspring snatched away from them where it will lie locked in a wooden box in darkness for veal. Imagine the grief and heartbreak a mother goes through losing a child... well, that's cows in the dairy industry. Yet instead of time to grieve, they're stood on concrete for 14-18 hours a day, with a metal apparatus constantly sucking at their udders until their udders turn blackened and swollen, and so the milk has to have hormones pumped into it to clear infections that might pass onto humans. She'll be in this machine for 2 years until her body finally collapses from exhaustion... and then she's sent to slaughter anyway
I love the idea of "lab meat" to be honest. Can't wait for it to be viable. I will be on board even if it costs more (as I don't consume much anyhow).

I realize that fish and chickens are sentient, but I guess I just don't have enough empathy for them to bother restricting them from my diet in the same way I do cows, sheep, pigs, goats, etc. I still want them to have a good life and be treated well hence why I try to buy from local farms as opposed to mass supermarket chains. Ultimately, the thought of them being slaughtered (especially on local farms) isn't that gruesome or appalling to me. I may get there one day but for the time being...

As for dairy, I can see the logic against it. It doesn't sit well that cows are separated from their offspring and are then forced to "work" (be milked) all day every day essentially. And, obviously, the veal industry is disgusting. Milk/dairy may just be the next thing to go from my diet. Not to mention that I think too much of it gives me breakouts (possibly).

this is exactly why your argument is not logical. you don't have a concrete belief system. all of your decisions are based off of feelings, which can change. there's no reason to expect anyone else to accept it as their own beliefs.

Wtf are you on about?

I have never tried to convince anyone to change their diet. So to which "argument" are you referring? I don't expect or need anyone to justify my thought process since I'm not trying to convince them to change a thing.

I'm talking about my own logic for eating the way I do. At the end of the day you only answer to yourself and your own system of morality. And, yes, I base my own morality on my own "feelings" which have the potential to change. I would also argue I have a more concrete belief system than the majority of people who go with the crowd, but that's another can of worms entirely.

No, most meat eaters hate vegans because vegans are always trying to promote their life "choices" on everyone else, constantly letting everyone know that they're vegan and then argue with non-vegans (even vegatarians) about how they're living their lives wrong because they're not vegan.

THAT is why people hate vegans.

Generally speaking meat eaters don't hate on the vegan diet, or vegans, but those who are acting out. Just because someone is vegan that doesn't necessary mean that he is pure and intelligent, or a good person, and can't be proven wrong. This thread just proves this how some vegans act like complete douchebag, cursing desperately,or being completely ignorant when the other side has some truth too. I respect normal vegans, but this is not how you can change the world, no one will go vegan by reading some of these vegan's comments in this thread. It's sad to be honest, but they paint their own banner and it is not looking good so far.

[QUOTE=Maestro post_id=1448229933]No, most meat eaters hate vegans because vegans are always trying to promote their life "choices" on everyone else, constantly letting everyone know that they're vegan and then argue with non-vegans (even vegatarians) about how they're living their lives wrong because they're not vegan.

THAT is why people hate vegans.
