People wonder why vegans are angry... again, it's because we see the same atrocious arguments over and over that have been debunked ad-infinitum.

"Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of and cruelty to animals for food, clothing or any other purpose."

Third world tribes or Inuits or remote fishermen are not contradicting any of the above. They cannot derive adequate nutrition from the plants around them. Ergo, by the dictates of their actions, they are vegans themselves unbeknownst to them.

That is the silliest attitude to have. It keeps getting produced because you people want to keep enjoying it. If you know it's wrong, stop supporting it and it will stop being produced.

So would you have owned a black slave in the 1,700's because "Since people continue owning them, until it's abolished, I might as well enjoy them!" See how ridiculous that sounds!

Your appeal to futility fallacy is just that... a fallacy... impact IS happening:

your counter argument doesnt even address any of my points.... a carnivore is a being that requires meat to survive and can survive exclusively on meat.

Doesn't know Humans are omnivores.

Humans are classic examples of omnivores in all relevant anatomical traits. There is no basis in anatomy or physiology for the assumption that humans are pre-adapted to the vegetarian diet. For that reason, the best arguments in support of a meat-free diet remain ecological, ethical, and health concerns.

I've always wanted to see a scenario where a vegan must live off the land and only live off of foliage and berries.

I accept that veganism has its place in the modern world, but I don't tolerate fukwads like MetalLover who impose their diets onto everyone and act like AIDS Skrillex when someone has a differing opinion.

******* was confident that I was buying meat from factories and saying I can't justify it meanwhile I get my meat from hunting, killing only 2 animals a year to sustain myself, then he switches the tone and tried fighting me for apparently suggesting everyone hunts.

This silly remark gets made often. It's not anthropomorphising animals to state a biological fact, that they suffer pain and emotions. Just because they cannot think in abstract ways, doesn't mean they're like vegetables with no sentience or care or feeling. You've only got to watch one piece of the countless footage in this thread to hear their screams of agony and terror to know they are capable of experiencing the same pain and emotion we do.

And animals do in fact possess individual personalities and traits.

Not arguing with anything you said besides the picture.

Those 760 million tons of grain have to be bought by a cattle raising company, lets use McDonald's for example.

If McDonald's decides to switch to a vegan menu they aren't going to just give away all their grains for free.

Those kids will still starve to death because they do not have money.

We would just start producing less grains because of a lesser demand.

The world could feed everyone on the planet and still sell meat if they wanted. We are great at growing food, just terrible at distributing it, we literally have more than we know what to do with, so we throw it away.

Why can't I? Because I don't have to. I kill my own meat, making sure it doesn't suffer in the process, and only kill animals well into their lifespan. I treat animals better than anyone does, provide humane slaughter for free range animals that I have to work to find and kill, and leave everything else alone.

I don't need to give up meat because I provide the conditions that vegans bash farms for not having. Stay mad, it doesn't change the fact that you're a fuktard of a person. well the only thing we can do is put in laws and chit where they have to be killed by injection or something.. other than that I'm not going to abandon meat. The companies have better practices than others, can't group them all the same. You already have a lot of products on the store shelves today that claim to be cage free, etc etc to animals.

I completely agree with you.

What I was trying to say is veganism is about anti-factory farming and anti-industrialization not anti-meat eating. Humans are meant to eat meat otherwise people living on remote islands or harsh climates wouldn't survive on just the land (like you stated above).

you stopped eating processed crap foods of course you experienced positive results. everyone can always clean up their diet.

also regardless of how animals are slaughter. the fact that 50 billion animals die a year is insane. these animals are often kept caged up.

idc how "humane" the slaughter is. no living being should be forced to march to its death

Just because you feed a dog plants doesn't mean its a herbivore. Just because you feed a human meat doesn't mean its a omnivore.
The unbiased answer is that we're omnivorous- the evidence for that is more than dentition; if we were herbivorous we would be unable to derive nutrition from meat based sources, and if we were carnivorous we would be unable to digest plant matter.
Cats are an example of an obligate carnivore, meaning they must eat meat- they simply cannot survive on plant material. Horses are an example of an obligate herbivore- they must eat plant material or die of starvation.
Humans can derive nutrition from multiple sources, whether plant or animal-based. Ergo, humans are omnivorous. QED.

In the end I know that not a single darwin book were in your hand.
It's irrelevant what we were in the past, we'd be categorised based on what we eat now. Therefore we'd be omnivores as we (generally) consume meat in additions to other foodstuffs.

So would you have owned a black slave in the 1,700's because "Since people continue owning them, until it's abolished, I might as well enjoy them!" See how ridiculous that sounds!

Your appeal to futility fallacy is just that... a fallacy... impact IS happening:

I never said it was the best attitude, or the solution. I'm not trying to solve the problem. are cows endangered? no. Are they sacred? not in this country. Do we need all those cows that died to stay alive for any reason? no. would I ever take part in the atrocities that meat plants commit? fuk no, because it takes a heartless soul to do that. At the end of the day, in this current time, people want meat, and meat will be made. If some nation or international union could convince major countries to switch to a vegetarian diet, or phase out meat, I wouldn't have a problem with it, and would happily go along. But that doesn't mean I won't enjoy it until then.

Humans can derive nutrition from multiple sources, whether plant or animal-based. Ergo, humans are omnivorous. QED.

In the end I know that not a single darwing book was in your hand.
It's irrelevant what we were in the past, we'd be categorised based on what we eat now. Therefore we'd be omnivores as we (generally) consume meat in additions to other foodstuffs.
Humans live longer on a plant based diet. gtfo with your bull**** fam.

Read above
the human body is extraordinary. it can do many things in order to survive. but as many people have pointed out we do live in a luxury today. those in 1st world countries should be eating a diet that has the least amount of anti nutrients in it. it is silly to argue that just because you can survive on something means that it is okay. I can survive on water once every 3 days and food every 3 weeks. it doesnt mean i should

Keep making a joke of yourself, there is no scientific evidence of your statement.

By the way about the human digestive system, just lol @ you claiming we are herbivores because of that.

Human: Mouth (saliva/teeth/tongue start the breakdown), eso****us, stomach, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, duodenum, various colons, small and large intestine, rectum.
Lion (carnivore): Saliva, eso****us, stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, small intestine, large intestine, pancreas, colon, rectum.
Cow (herbivore, ruminant): Mouth, eso****us, stomach 1 (rumen), stomach 2 (reticulum), stomach 3 (omasum), stomach 4 (abomasum, or "true stomach"), small intestine, large intestine.
Checking out the elephant, giant herbivore, you have a stomach that doesn't do much, and intestines that do all the work. But they also don't actually absorb much of the nutrients in their food, so their poo is nutrient-rich (as in plenty of other animals like dung beetles and birds live off it).
tl;dr Our digestive tract can extract all sorts of nutrients from many sources. Dedicated herbivores' cannot, nor can dedicated carnivores (who still eat grass to clear themselves out). Ours is closer to other omnivores (see other hominids especially, but also bears and plenty of others

considering cholestrol is a leading factor in heart disease, and heart disease is a top killer in the US i find that to be enough evidence...

I didn't say I stopped eating crappy foods, I just said I started eating dairy and meat ALONG with the previous diet.
I still eat crap to this day, on a daily basis.
Sneakers, White chocolates, Kinder Bueno, "Energy snacks", candies and shyt.
But I can eat healthy as well, sometimes I eat plane chicken breast with a bit of salt along with a whole wheat bread or oats and a cup of water.
