How about the driveshaft? Won’t it be more effective being it loses power from Drivetrain less too?

I held off on two piece rotors cause now he’s saying I won’t feel the weight difference and I should put that into coil overs which will save me roughly 12 pounds per Side and better drive

However I’m a little skeptical Changing Anytvinf on the s209 chassis for the suspension.

I saw hoonigan had coil overs for s209 for sale too

Think same ones Travis pastrona used?

And I plan to make a video and doing that.

I just spent 400$ on my license plate alone lol

Rotational weight loss MOGGS static weight loss loss, I've already mentioned that earlier.

Drivetrain mass=/=rotational mass they are both affected by second motion.

I opted for the sidewinder style because the standard manifold places the turbo in between the cylinder head and the radiator and turns that area into a crowded mess.

I can literally switch to a massive V band turbo and not have to really change anything. Plus its looksmaxxin

6 speed mocked up



Manifold loosely bolted up to make lines



Intercooler mocked up with temp brackets to get an idea of where to cut radiator support to make clearance for outlets. Also chopping up bumper and bumper support cause this is a big motha fuka




Exhaust cam is currently at the machine shop getting a seized dowel pin taken out so I can install my Hall Sensor kit for the cam signal

I'm making steel brackets out of 1/4 steel 1.5 inch flat stock on the bottom, those will bolt to 2 rivnuts on the bottom of the radiator support then I'm having a stud welded up top to add an additional bracket to where the latch used to be.

The piping and couplers also will handle a portion of the weight. This intercooler is really heavy, its dense with a high louvered fin count, they use CSF cores. Its like 32-26 lbs lol

While not building it for drag it will have enough power for 9s. Probably couldn't pull that off since I won't have the suspension setup for that (lead filled front bars, traction bars, slicks, drag pack etc)

Took like 2 hours of fitting and trimming but the cover is now on. I will be opening up the bumper a bit more to expose more of the intercooler.

I'll need to get tabs welded on the top for the cover bolts.





Also while trying to take this threaded fitting off the FPR to change the vacuum line from barb to push lock it snapped clean the fuk off. Hopefully a screw extractor will pull it out.

Not much rn exactly. Starting mocking up the intercooler piping and made a bit of progress. Coldside piping is insanely easy, only 2 cuts and a new 90 degree coupler ordered.



The hotside is where things are tricky. I can't go up top due to hood clearance so I have to go down low along the bottom of the radiator. This means that I need to cut more of the radiator support on that side to fix the angle of the piping. In addition I won't have enough room to run my fan shrouds or dual fans unless I find one that is insanely thin. Where the manifold runners get fairly close to the upper radiator support.






I'm thinking I'll need to have a tight radius 90 welded to go around the radiator

Absolutely zero progress here.

Aside from my first time being put as a point man on this new jobsite which absolutely has got me bonkers at work, the standalone is still MIA, and the guy making my engine harness is waiting on on backordered connectors from Japan which is dealing with a plastics raws shortage.

I did however pick up yet another 200sx to fix up and use as a daily. Paint is sun damaged and dinged up but this is the first low mileage one I've seen in literally years. Picked it up from a 70 year old guy out in Santa Cruz that hasn't driven it in several years. Only has 67k miles on it so the chassis and motor are absolutely solid. Pretty stoked to go get it tomorrow
