Ochem had zero math. It was just all memorizing annoying ass rules that honestly you mostly can forget about if you aren't a chemist. The only thing that really matters is the stuff used in biochem. Like you do need to understand steric hindrance, DNA, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, stereochemistry, and basic properties of alcohols, ketones, and sugars. Other than that, it's really w/e.

Polymer chemists care more obviously. Probably the most overrated class IMO. Everyone acts like Ochem is a rly srs class, when it just plain sucks. People do poorly only because it is so different from other science classes.

How is it better to expose yourself to a virus over some fragment of a closely related protein from said virus? Why would you not want prior immunity? Even if the virus has mutated, there is still a benefit from having something close to start with. It is ridiculous that in 2023, someone has to explain the merits of vaccination to you.

"Not great" = little to no protection, so why get the "not great" vax and then potentially end up getting the virus on top of it anyway since the level of protection offered is "not great"?

Not little to no protection. It's just...not great. Around 40 to 80% effective but that was for older strains. It prepares your immune system so when you do get the virus, it won't be as bad.

Early on - he loses me immediately.

When he called Dr. Hotez reasonable and a good source of information -- well, he played his hand. However big a quack or right or wrong RFK Jr is or isn't -- Hoetz or whatever his name is, I've seen with my own eyes he is a bad source of information, a liar and a shill.

Promoting a bad actor discredits this guy in my book, I don't know anything about him, he looks like a political activist type, but I hate to judge on looks, but then off the gate he says something demonstrably idiotic that reinforces this notion he himself is not someone to be listened to.

Who is this guy in the video again and why should I listen to anything else he says when he's shown he is unreliable?

Edit: I went to his channel... all the videos are "masks work", "insane lab leak theories", "vaccines are better than natural immunity", etc...

And none of this makes RFK Jr right or wrong, either - but I don't see how someone demonstrably smart-talking and wrong like this is a source I care about, either.
