So one thing I think is very promising was Cam's mechanics. Last year I talked often how he had a tendency to throw off his back foot which led to balls sailing on him. It was especially noticeable under pressure. He wasn't doing that today. Only one game obviously, but promising.
Still needs to reduce the sacks he takes, but he looked very good.

I think a good portion of the hate is due to Cam, which is hilarious in its own way. Hell there's a small but very vocal group of Panthers fans who hate him. They also have a very different play style compared to the rest of the NFL.

Another thing I liked during the game was KB on the sidelines working with the coaches and Cam making adjustments. I think a ton of the sideline demeanor breakdown is bull****, but that's nice to see. Overall I think I prefer this WR corps to last years. Avant and Cotchery aren't really good by any means, but they're fairly competent veterans. I trust those two to make consistent plays way more than LaFell. We don't have the big play threat that Ginn was (hopefully KB develops into that, but I think that may take a bit of time), but I think those two are better route runners and consistent targets. And I'm thinking KB and more Olsen is a fine replacement for Smitty (although I'm not saying that I'm glad Smitty is gone).

I don't think it's even a question as to who is the best LB in the NFL anymore. Dude is just on god tier right now. If it wasn't for Watt it'd be best defender.
