Imma be irate in November, if Hardy is handed a not guilty verdict. All these media *******s still wont admit that they were wrong for saying Hardy should be deactivated. If he is found guilty, fine, but the NFL should have done their part months ago.

All this aside, our team is looking really good so far. Avant and Cotchery played big yesterday.

Panthers are bake. Any questions we had about our WR core should be answered. These vets (cotchery/avant) will continue to make plays, convert 3rd downs and eat zone defenses. Olsen is as good as ever maybe even at the top of his game. Benjamin will have some frustrating moments but will then make a play to completely make us forget a boneheaded drop lol. Also Cason was a hell of a pickup, guy has a high motor and seems to fly around the field, best corner weve had since Gamble, cant believe he was 3rd string for a team. So if the NFL suspends you for 2 weeks for domestic violence, does this game count towards Hardy having to sit? There was alot of pressure for this move since the Ray Rice video aired and I still dont know how to feel. On one hand theres no video evidence and didn't HE call the cops? On the other hand he was found guilty and is now trying to appeal it. This **** happened a long time ago theres no reason it should still be up in the air.

The Panthers Defense

After watching them shake the change from Josh McCown’s pockets last week, it was hard to tell whether the Panthers defense was the same sort of group it was a year ago, or if the Bucs were just that bad. Now, we probably have our answer. A week after torching the Giants, Matthew Stafford and the Lions offense were held in check all afternoon. It took Stafford 48 attempts to get his 291 yards, and the Panthers seemed to shut the Lions down on every meaningful third down they faced.

Whatever his flaws in previous years, one plus Stafford brings is that he rarely gets sacked — 23 times last year, on a ton of drop-backs. Carolina got to him four times yesterday, with 2.5 coming from Mario Addison, Greg Hardy’s replacement. Carolina’s ability to play well without Hardy should have no role in whether he’s allowed to play moving forward, but it’s worth nothing that the players the Panthers still have are pretty damn good.

You have to see games like yesterday’s to believe how Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis are able to so thoroughly mask Carolina’s lesser players in the secondary. By covering more ground in the middle of the field than any linebacker duo in the league, they limit the scope of everyone else in coverage. Ron Rivera and defensive coordinator/occasional Ron Howard impersonator Sean McDermott have a few great players, and they know how to use them. It’s amazing how far that can go.

Yeah it's pretty routine to see Luke and Davis defending passes 15-20 yards in coverage. Basically equates to having 2 very good run stopping linebackers who morph into good DBs on a pass play. So let the DBs drop more and prevent deep passes and Luke+ Davis cover underneath them.

I always thought Hardy was the product of talented our line, but judging off last week game we might need him later on the season.

Its was not until late in the 4th quarter that we actually started getting pressure on Stafford

If he's found not guilty in November, we will have him later in the season.

Really hoping for a beatdown tonight. Panthers are much better than Pittsburgh so just need to come out and execute. DL should eat up Big Ben and Pittsburgh's defense isn't much at all.

Not working tomorrow so gonna be nice to stay up and watch this game.

Hardy is probably done for the season. I hope not because sometimes Stafford had a lot of time to throw. Hopefully Addison keeps playing the way he did last week.

Yeah his jury trial doesn't even start until like late November.

It'd be kind of nice if we drafted a 2nd round guy to rush the passer…

Do you all see how important Greg Hardy is to this defensive line? Getting beat on by the fukking Steelers.

He may not be as good as Kuechly but it's certainly arguable he's as important.

What pisses me off most…no not the defense playing like **** (it happens sometimes), but the OL. Do you guys realize how well Cam is playing right now? He's honestly at an elite level, especially in the 10-20 yard range. He's insanely accurate and doing it with a bunch of rookies (errr rookie), journeyman 3rd receivers (Avant and Cotchery), Olsen, and nobodies, with no OL help.

Phuck the NFL we are paying Hardy 700K+ a game to sit on the bench, that's horsechit. The Niners are playing McDonald we should be playing Hardy.

Hopefully this was just one of those games. I had a bad feeling about this game, everyone was picking to blow out the Steelers

Anyone else concerned for Cam in regards to the rest of the year? He keeps taking all kinds of shots and over the past two games has gotten progressively more and more beaten and battered. It worries me that he won't be 100% at any point this year, which completely sucks considering how good he looks for having hardly any off-season with a brand new receiving corps.

Also I'm completely sold on KB after three games, the guy is a monster.

Yeah I'm concerned. The interior OL is leaving DTs to get free runs at Cam and the tackles have to hold to even slow down DEs. It's ****ing pathetic.

Agreed, this game was hands down one of the worst games from both O and D lines collectively in recent years. I'd normally be hopeful for a big bounce back win next week, but with so many injuries and straight out bad play I'm genuinely worried about the rest of the year.
