fuk brahs hold me, i can't handle the feels from this game. i guess i was over confident going into that game so the loss hit me harder than usual. i just don't know if we're going to be able to bounce back after that. kelvin looked great, and this is the best passing that i think i've seen from Cam, it just sucks that he's obviously still not close to 100%. i have the same concerns as all of you about him, i'd almost support him sitting out for the next month or so..idk i just don't want to see him go down with something even more serious

My takeaways from the game….
We have no running game. Therefore the pass rushers know it's pass every ****ing play. They come HARD. Our playaction is useless.
Our O-line is garbage. Even our "best center in the league" Khalil, doesn't look like the same player he was. A 3 man rush was getting to Cam most of the night. And with all those extra players dropping in coverage, he hardly had any windows to throw into.
With that being said, I am impressed as hell with his improved accuracy. He has turned into a pocket passer. I don't know if it's because he's got a better sense of the game, or he had to learn not to take off because of his ankle. Either way, when he was given more than a second in the pocket, he wasn't missing many throws.
Philly Brown (minus the fumble) looks like he may have earned his way into some snaps at WR. He did more last night than avant and crotchery combined all season it seems. I also really like Bersin. Maybe those two should get the nod over avant and crochery for a game, see how it plays out.
Byron Bell. Mother****ing Byron Bell.
We have no pass rush. Charles Johnson does nothing. Addison and Short are the only ones making plays in the backfield. Where has Star been?
Other than that, there's not much to say. It was just one of those games. We were outgunned and outmanned. Too many stupid penalties once we had them off field. Too many careless mistakes on special teams. Have no idea what was up with our D either. Gave up big plays left and right. Thomas Decoud was run over like three or four times.
This game was just an all around embarrassment. Does it bother anyone else that usually when we have a primetime game and the whole entire country is watching, we flop? We look horrible? We never rise to the occasion and make a statement. I can't even think of one primetime game we've had where we performed well in recent years. Even the Pats game ended controversially. Ugh…

DWill better be back this weekend…we are gonna need to lean on our 50 YPG rushing attack to throw their defense off.
Oh wait nvm they will just send the house over and over knowing our run game is trash.

It all starts at our Oline. Bell is truly pathetic. Has to be the worst LT in the entire league srs. Guy is worthy of being a backup RT at best. Cant really fault our defense, they were on the field the entire game, consistently held the steelers to fieldgoals. I feel like the score was a bad indication of how the game went. If mr potato didnt jump offsides on that fieldgoal and if philly didnt muff that punt it could have been alot different. Also if that one 80 run play would have got stuffed the outcome would have been alot different. Steelers played a good game though, their offense was sharp both passing and running and they didnt make any turnovers. Panthers will bounce back.

All the bullsh*t with Hardy aside…
I legitimately think Cam has taken the turn as a passer. Saw Chlax discussing it earlier in another thread, and decided to look a bit more closely at all his snaps. His throwing mechanics have improved pretty significantly. His accuracy, esp in the medium-ish range(ie the most important..) has been as on point as any QB in the NFL. It's unfortunate that almost every play it seems an OL gets pancaked or rollerskates his way into the pocket collapsing everything (the sheer amount of blown assignments is fukking insane) because given the weapons he finally has.. he could've had that year where he erases any and all doubt about whether he is a franchise quarterback.
OL is just something I don't see improving until next season. K.B. is incredible but it really makes you question whether it'd have been best to take an OL. If Cam had his feet planted on that one play that game… yeah. Career over. If they can't handle the goddamn Steelers.. good god.

They should just draft all OL next draft (lol semi-srs).
Will post OL free agency class in next post. Edit - nvm computer is being a bitch.
There are a few intriguing names, and with the virtual certainty Hardy is walking.. we should have room to at least sign a couple guys, right?
Another VERY intriguing name in FA next year: Michael Crabtree.
It seems he's losing popularity in SF, but I think he'd be brilliant here. KB with his circus/highlight reel catches, and Crabtree as a possession/route wizard on the other.

I've always liked Crabtree…he will be a hot ticket item though and Carolina doesn't have a history of BIG free agency signings as far as I know. Seems like we put all our stock in the draft picks (which have all been great) and then just browse the bargain bin leftovers in FA.

Fuk I haven't even wanted to hear or talk about the Panthers game this past Sunday since it happened. Haven't listened to sports radio, or even clicked on this thread.
Would love for the first two picks to be LT and RT in the next draft, or get someone in FA. But not looking too far into the future, DWill is going to be back this week, apparently. Fuking sucks about Tolbert. Haven't really heard about JStew. Heard knee sprain, but not much else.

Another week of sulking.
All I can hope for now is that the rest of our division drops their games too.

Only thing that helps is we have a very winnable game next week at home and still plenty of time to turn the season around.

if this atlanta result holds i'm gonna be soooooo happy. even after playing like absolute chit for the past two weeks we'll still be in the division race. i thought cam still threw well and kelv is still proving to be the real deal..so whatever i'm still staying hopeful that we'll turn this chit streak around

We need to level our expectations some. Cams clearly in pain and not 100% but hes playing really good despite that. Only 1 turnover so far and thats because he was pretty much being hit while throwing last week. Our OLINE has to be the worst in the league srs. Were on our 4-5th string RB..undrafted rookie…. and missing two BIG parts of our defense in Hardy and Davis. With that being said I still think we could easily be a 8-8 team despite the injuries and such.

I'm gonna get chit for this but Davis>>>>Luke
I've been saying that since last year
Charles Johnson is trash, AJ Klein hasn't developed and the secondary is slower than molasses. We need Hardy
Luckily for us the South seems to be the no defense conferences

our OL still sucks and our D definitely misses Hardy, regardless of whatever they say. I hope JR is happy that he let media pressure force him into sitting him and they results we have gotten with that

At least the Saints and Falcons lost.
Not that Carolina, as it stands now, is in any position to bury them.. but it looks like both of them are suffering from the same issues we are.
