I'm not sure what people think Gettleman should have done in the offseason. There simply wasn't any money to sign quality players. The only real thing I can think was to draft OL.

Just came in to offer my sincere condolences on the season. As a diehard football fan I feel for you guys. Such a great season last year and the GM always throws his hands up in the air and says fuk it why improve the team and keep things going when we can just pick up some scrubs.

Feel bad for Cam too the guy clearly isn't healthy and has no help. Not sure what's up with your defense but sucked seeing them get beat up so bad last night. Hope Star will be ok, guy is a beast.

And I'm not trolling, legit curious how you guys thought the season was going to go. I know one season with Singletary as coach I had my hopes up really high after a strong finish the year before and some "big" free agent acquisitions and the team was pure garbage the following year and it was brutal. I know with the Greg Hardy situation and Gross retiring it obviously took some luster off expectations but did you guys go into the season expecting a down year or did you expect more?

I thought 8-8 or 9-7, maybe 7-9. This is the OL I expected, it was bad last year and only got much worse. Bell was a terrible RT and they moved him to LT. I thought DBs would be slightly worse than last year but the front 7 would be good enough to hide it like last year. Damn I was wrong.

Good article. I think we all knew we wouldn't be as good record wise as last year. We had a lot of CLOSE wins last year that could have easily been losses. I just didn't think Carolina would be losing the way they are, that's what makes it so disappointing. They look so dysfunctional in all aspects, it's just hard to watch. Which is why I couldn't do it anymore lol.

Yeah I'm done for the year, too. Turned the game off after the second turnover. Time to focus more on the NBA.

So we cut Avant and Chandler is on IR, they both haven't done chit anyways

How bad must Stephen Hill be? I mean seriously? He can't beat out Brown and Bersin two UDFA, he can't beat out Webb a former QB and now he got beat out by Armanti Edwards replacement De'Andre Presley another former QB. Hill must be other worldly terrible

You can't have a guy brought in for leadership purposes talking sh*t about the coaching. It doesn't matter how right he may have been, if you are over the hill AND have a bad attitude then there's no reason for him to be there.

Key matchup to me is Norman vs Jones. I'm excited for this game. Our running game has been playing really well I think this one could go either way.

Well…..

If we beat Atlanta, our matchup will be good.

If every favorite wins next sunday, we will play Arizona at home. We couldn't ask for a better matchup.

No hate on Arizona, but they have some issues on offense, and they seem quite banged up, and will be flying across the country to play us who would be on a 4 game winning streak.

If we can get by that game, anything can happen. We probably get tossed in the divisional round, but I can see Cam getting his first playoff win, which would do a lot for his confidence level.

We could probably get tossed by the Cards, but of all the NFC playoff teams, I'd rather face the Cardinals than anyone.

Here's to optimism.
